Phillip Andrew Arnn was buried at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1219 N Davis Drive, Arlington, Tarrant Co., Texas.3,4 He was born on October 17, 1947 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2,3,4 He married Laura Marie Roberson on August 17, 1971 at Tarrant Co., Texas.4,7,5 Phillip Andrew Arnn died on February 19, 2014 at Arlington, Tarrant Co., Texas, at age 66.3,4 He Phillip Andrew Arnn, 66, passed unexpectedly into the loving arms of Jesus, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in Arlington. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Laurie, in Moore Cemetery in Arlington. Phillip was born on Oct. 17, 1947, in Salem, Va. He spent his childhood in Virginia growing up with his cousins in the innocence of the 1950s. He eventually settled in Texas after his mother became remarried to a Texan stationed at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk. As a young man Phillip came to a crossroads in his life as to the direction of his life and the purpose. In 1971 he accepted Christ and became a godly man unshaken in his faith and sacrificial service to the Lord for over 43 years. Soon after his decision to accept Christ, he met and married the love of his life. Phil and his wife, Laurie, were active in the Jesus Revival in the early '70s. He served the Lord in many roles as a youth pastor, evangelist and teacher impacting young and old alike. Phil worked with Watchman Fellowship, a Christian ministry in Arlington, for over 20 years as a researcher and writer. Phillip specialized in controversial sects and cults. He helped many families and victims harmed by abusive religions. He was often interviewed on TV and radio as an expert on the topic, and most notably for his expertise during the siege in Waco involving the Branch Davidians. Phil was a biblical scholar, student of history and believer in liberty. He was a great communicator, storyteller and was larger than life. He was a humble man living under God's grace and was a friend to all who knew him. Phillip did not store up treasures in this world, but the love he gave has produced untold treasures in heaven. He ran the race faithfully to the end. Phillip's life had a huge impact on the lives of many; his absence has left a huge void in the lives of many. Phil will always be remembered for his love of Jesus, family and absolute devotion to his beloved wife of 42 years, Laurie Arnn. His wife, Laurie, preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2013. Survivors: He is survived by his brother, David R. Walker and wife, Dianna; sister, Ronna Walker and husband, Garry; sister, Melinda Hopkins; mother-in-law, Mary Roberson Ortega; brother-in-law, Clifton Alvin Roberson and wife, Alison; sister-in-law, Celia Good and husband, David; and many nieces and nephews. on March 16, 2014.4
