     Belinda Ann Adkins Belinda Ann Adkins FitzSimons passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at the age of 59 after a courageous 13-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Belinda was the only daughter of David M. Adkins Sr. and the late Sina Fay Bourn Adkins. She was the sister of David M. Adkins Jr. (Karen) and Jess R. Adkins (Crystal). She was the beloved wife of 40 years to David R. FitzSimons and the loving and devoted mother of Xavier Christopher D. FitzSimons and Sherman R. FitzSimons, plus surrogate mom to family friend J.T. Harris and dog mom to her beloved Buddy. Belinda is also survived by a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, and others. Belinda is perhaps best recognized as a welcoming presence at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for over 30 years. She treated everyone she met with genuine kindness and loved the patients she served every day. Those who called the Radiology Department surely heard her signature greeting, “X-Ray, Belinda.” In addition, while working full-time and unhindered by her cancer diagnosis, Belinda focused on her education, entering college part-time at age 35 and earning her Bachelor of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2010.2 She was buried at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.3,2 She was born on August 20, 1960.3 As of June 2, 1979,her married name was FitzSimons.3 She married David Raleigh FitzSimons on June 2, 1979.1,4,3,2 Belinda Ann Adkins died on February 5, 2020 at Louisiana at age 59.3,2

     Gary Lynn Deane Gary Lynn "Stubby" Deane, 56, of Roanoke, passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications on Monday morning, January 6, 2014. He was born on August 16, 1957, in Roanoke, the sixth of seven children to Eugene "Billy" Souma, and second son to Rose Marie Deane. Gary grew up and lived his life in Roanoke, graduating from William Fleming High School in 1975 and Ferrum College in 1980. Gary, like his brothers, was raised in his family's beloved Shenandoah Restaurant. Gary achieved many things in his adult life but his greatest achievements are his two sons, Kevin and Devin, whom he absolutely adored. Gary lived his life with great perspective, dedicated to what he found most important-his open-handed relationships with friends and family. Anyone who was graced by Gary's presence recognized his unique ability to connect with folks from all walks of life and welcome them as family. He made everyone, and anyone, feel special. His joyful presence and genuine kindness brought out the best in those around him. He loved to fish and carry on with the White Oak Gang. He was passionate about Virginia football, the Minnesota Vikings, and NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt. Gary lived his life full of happiness and cherished every moment with his family and friends. His powerful smile and endless laughter will live on in all those who know him. Gary was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Workman; father, Billy Souma; and mother, Rose Marie Deane. The family would like to thank the Cardiac Care Unit staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Swank, Dr. De Leon, Dr. Ball, Becky, Wendy, Nancy, and Sarah, for their tremendous care for Gary. The interment will follow at St. Andrews Diocesan Cemetery.3 He was buried at Saint Andrews Cemetery, 3601 Salem Turnpike NW, Roanoke, Virginia.3,4 His Social Security Number was 227-90-2313.7 He was born on August 16, 1957 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,4,7,5,6 He married Vicki Lynn Wickham, daughter of George Wayne Wickham and Maybelle Chocklett, on June 25, 1983 at Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.1 Gary Lynn Deane and Vicki Lynn Wickham were divorced on July 1, 1993 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.5 Gary Lynn Deane died on January 6, 2014 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 56.2,4,7
