She is also survived by two sisters, Geneieve Henderson and husband, Robert, and Edith Prillaman and husband, Donald; and also several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bivvie was an employee of J.C. Penney, Company for 44 years, starting at the Towers Store, before moving to the Tanglewood Store from where she retired. Upon retirement, Bivvie continued enjoying lifelong friends from the store. Graveside Services will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family would like to give special thanks to her wonderful caregiver, Dana Ferguson. on December 21, 2013.5

Robert Erastus Henderson Jr. Robert E. Henderson, Jr. passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Bob, or Bobby as most people called him, was born on June 2, 1930 in Reidsville, NC to Robert E., Sr. and Mae Likens Henderson. His parents moved back to the Back Creek area of Roanoke County when he was about two years old, and Back Creek would be his home until his death except for a short time spent working in Maryland and two years that he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Japan. His parents predeceased him along with his brother, David D. Henderson. Bobby is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Genevieve Craighead Henderson, two brothers R. Ray (Shirley) Henderson and Charles E. (Judy) Henderson; two sisters June H. (Carl) Lowe, and Genevieve H. Grant, sister-in-law Nancy H. (James) Boyd; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald W. and Edith C. Prillaman; several special nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews, many cousins, and wonderful friends and neighbors. Bobby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Cotton Hill Ward). He was employed first at Johnson-Carper Furniture Company and for over 30 years at General Electric, taking early retirement in 1988. His greatest interest was in farming, raising Hereford cattle and hay. He took great pride each year in his garden, blueberries and looking after his Pinecliffe Farm property there on Back Creek. He spent many hours with his in laws, Clinton and Ruth Simpson Craighead, at Back Creek Orchard and helped with the apple crop for several years, helped his father-in-law at the sawmill, and was taught by him to cut timber and operate the sawmill that he made for him. The family is most grateful to his Family Physician, Dr. Kevin Kelleher, the staff at Amedisys Hospice Care, especially Sharon and Sarah, and to his caregivers Angie, Brittany, Elizabeth Marie and Monica for their attention and loving care. She always smiled and returned love to everyone God put into her life through family, her beloved Thaxton Baptist Church, and those within her community. Born in Roanoke, she was preceded in death by her father, Silas F. Fuller Sr; her mother, Nannie Jane Obenchain Fuller; an infant brother and two other brothers, Silas F. (Bob) Fuller Jr. and Rolf R. Fuller. She is survived by a son, Don L. Craighead Jr; and a daughter, Carolyn C.. Wright and husband, Lou Wright, all of Bedford.

He was the son of Mr. James W. Cooper Jr. and Bivvie Craighead Cooper of Roanoke, Va. He was the loving husband of Janet Pearsall Cooper for almost 48 years. Beside his wife he is survived by two daughters, Catherine S. Cooper Dickerson and husband, Michael of Stanardsville, Va. and Nancy Lauren Cooper of Charlottesville, Va. He is also survived by the joy of his life, his two granddaughters, Ashley M. Miller (fiancee, Matthew Gibson) of Stanardsville, Kayla P. Miller of Culpeper and three step-grandchildren, Brystal; Bryan and Phoenix Dickerson of Stanardsville. He is also survived by four nieces, one nephew and many grand nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to him. David was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Amanda Cooper Bayne of Roanoke; and his parents. David was raised in Roanoke county on his grandfather's apple orchard, he graduated from Cave Spring High School and attended Roanoke College where he met his wife, Janet. He was employed and worked for Merchants Grocery Company of Culpeper, Va. for 41 years. In his younger days he was active in the Cave Spring Jaycees and Lakeland Masonic Lodge, both in Roanoke. After moving to Orange he became active in the Orange Volunteer Fire Company, where he used his business skills in the positions of Treasurer, Business Manager and President. He was as member of the Orange Masonic Lodge #138. He was baptized and became a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he diligently worked on the property committee. on December 10, 2015.3
