She is survived by a daughter, Bobby Jo Salyers Lizama (Tony); four sons, Brown Salyers II (Michele), Shane Salyers (Shianne), Eric Salyers (Keisha) and Zack Salyers (Zayla); nine granddaughters; and four grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. on May 4, 2014.2

     Jessie Carol Salyers God decided he needed another Angel and came and took Jessie Carol Rogers home on April 9, 2010. She passed away at her home in Mineral Wells, WV after a long illness. She had her family at her side at the time of her passing. She was born in Wirt County a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Burdett) Salyers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband Jimmie F. Rogers; two daughters Brenda Kay Rogers of Mineral Wells and Cindy Ellen Glover of Kentucky; four grandchildren Robert Sams (Elizabeth) of North Carolina, Erin Cook (Joseph) of Indiana, Erika Glover of Kentucky, and Alex Roger of North Carolina; a daughter-in-law Lisa Rogers of North Carolina; eight brothers and sisters Joyce Lamp, Pricille Woods, Patricia Carpenter, Linda Michael, Helen Lemely, and Brown, Jack, and David Salyers; and a stepmother Lucille Salyers. She was preceded in death by a son Jimmie Lee Rogers, grandson Joshua Michael Sams, brother Donald Salyers, and sister Darla Martin.2 She was buried at Big Tygart Cemetery, Rockport, Wood Co., West Virginia.4 She was born on August 29, 1940 at Widen, Clay Co., West Virginia.2,3 As of March 17, 1956,her married name was Rogers.3 She married Jimmie F. Rogers on March 17, 1956 at Wirt Co., West Virginia.2,3 Jessie Carol Salyers died on April 9, 2010 at Mineral Wells, Wood Co., West Virginia, at age 69.2
