He was the son of the late Emmett and Gladys Campbell Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Jeannie) Saunders of Elkview; son, Roy M. Sanders of Elkview; daughters, Doneda Bailey of Sissonville, W.Va., Moleda Dailey of South Charleston, W.Va., Charlotte Hoffman of Dallas, Texas, Edra Smiley and Brenda Watton, both of El Chajon, Calif; sister, Melba J. Brailey of Elkview; brother, Bobby Sanders of Elkview; half-brothers, Robert and Gay Sanders of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. on December 8, 2001.3

He was the son of the late Emmett Gay and Gladys Elizabeth Campbell Sanders. He was also preceded in death by his brother Rick Saunders. He is survived by: wife of 61 years Edna Faye Rucker Sanders; daughters, Frances (Tom) Vance of Elkview, Rosalee (Larry) Young of Scott Depot, Elizabeth (Jim) Adkins of Big Chimney and Judy (Rob) Fields of Clendenin; sons, Bill (Diana) Sanders, Dan (Ann) Sanders and Bobby (Melissa) Sanders all of Elkview; sister, Melba Braley of Clendenin; ½ brothers, Gay Sanders of Clendenin and Robert Sanders of Kentucky; 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Ruby Helen Swiney Ruby Helen Eboch, 89, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Charleston, WV. Helen was born in Kanawha County, WV on November 19, 1927. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Eboch; parents, Carlos and Bessie Swiney; six brothers, Roy, Ray, Donald, Harold, Dinky, Johnny; and two sisters, Dean and Wanda. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Hoffman of Largo, FL, Edra Smiley of Charleston, WV, and Brenda Watton of San Diego, CA; one son, Roy Sanders, of Elkview, WV; two sisters, Janet Web of Spencer, WV and Violet Frank of Roanoke, VA; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen spent the majority of her life in San Diego, CA, attended college, worked towards her goal as a dietician and developed a successful career. She enjoyed bowling, board games (especially scrabble), crocheting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Helen was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in preparing and serving her special dishes to the family. She will be interred in Singing Hills Memorial Gardens, El Cajon, CA beside her late husband, James Eoch. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the physicians and nurses at CAMC cardiopulmonary intensive care and the palliative nursing staff at Hubbard Hospice in Charleston, WV for their kindness and loving care given to our mother in her final days.1 She was buried at Singing Hills Memorial Park, 2800 Dehesa Road, El Cajon, San Diego Co., California.1 Her married name was Sanders.2 She married Richard Durant "Dick" Saunders, son of Emmett Gay Sanders and Gladys Elizabeth Campbell.2 Ruby Helen Swiney was born on November 19, 1927 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 She died on July 22, 2017 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 89.1
