Moore, 65, of 3029-B Lincoln Highway East, Gordonville, died Thursday of natural causes at his sons home in Eden Township. He was the husband of Nannie L. Coleman Moore. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Annie Valder Moore. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. A carpenter and drywall installer, Moore worked in the Carpenters union, Post 492, for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, James K. of Quarryville, and William D. of Michigan; a brother, Robert P. Jr., of Lynchburg, Va; three sisters, Claudia Evans of Lynchburg, Va., Rachael Sutherland of Florida, and Mary of North Carolina; and five grandchildren. on December 14, 1991.4

A graveside service was held Saturday, (03-28-2015) at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery in Goldston with Pastor Bruce Parsons officiating. She was born in Moore County, on November 14, 1927 to the late Archie Johnson and Mary Turner Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Bernard Wilson Coleman; two brothers and five sisters. She is survived by a son, Richard James Murphy of Sanford; daughters, Louise Murphy Johnson of Sanford, Florence Ann Busch of Asheboro, Christine Coleman of the home, Mary Wallace of Sanford; sister, Magdalene Gilmore of Olivia; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. on April 2, 2015.1
