"Birch" Palmer and Vergie Mary "Virgie" Elmore, on October 7, 1943 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Ella Frances Britt died on June 11, 1974 at Delta, Fulton Co., Ohio, at age 64.5,3 She Mrs. Ella Frances Pochay, 64, of Delta, Ohio, and formerly of Princeton, died at her home Tuesday following an apparent heart attack. She was a daughter of Mrs. Shannte Ellen Britt of Princeton and the late George Thomas Britt. Surviving are her husband, Valentine C. Pochay; one son, Robert H. Richmond of Baton Rouge, La; one brother, Robert Oakley of Jacksonville, Fla; one sister, Mrs. Pat Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio; and six grandchildren. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery, Princeton. on June 14, 1974.3

"Birch" Palmer and Vergie Mary "Virgie" Elmore, on June 15, 1969 at Harris Co., Texas.1 Thelma Pauline Mashburn and Ralph Jack Palmer were divorced on June 19, 1974 at Harris Co., Texas.4 Thelma Pauline Mashburn died on May 13, 1985 at Columbus, Muscogee Co., Georgia, at age 64.2 She Thelma Pauline Cook, 64, of 3602 Youman St., Columbus, died Monday at The Medical Center. The funeral was today with burial in Parkhill Cemetery. Mrs. Cook was born Sept 12, 1920, in Texas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Mashburn. She had lived in Columbus since 1981, was a homemaker and the widow of James N. Cook Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Lillie Owens of Columbus and Mary Williams of Calhoun, Ga; three brothers, James E. Whitten of Conyers, Ga. and Jack H. Whitten of Long Beach, Calif., and Thomas Calvin Mashburn of Cartersville, Ga; nieces and nephews. on May 15, 1985.2

"Birch" Palmer and Vergie Mary "Virgie" Elmore, on October 2, 1941 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.3 Eleanor Virginia Taylor died on September 24, 2013 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 91.2,4 She Eleanor Taylor Palmer, 91, of Park Ave., Princeton, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, September 24, 2013, at Cassell's Personal Care on South Avenue in Princeton, following a long illness. Born July 24, 1922 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Clifton Taylor and Leatha Sarver Taylor. Eleanor was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1940. In 1970, Eleanor began her banking career with Princeton Bank and Trust Company, later changed to First Community Bank, retiring in 1990. While working at the bank she had the privilege of training many young men and women who are in leadership positions in today's workforce. She, along with her late husband Lee, owned and operated Palmer Properties in Princeton. While her health permitted she was an active member of the First Christian Church on Straley Avenue in Princeton where she taught Sunday school for many years and was involved in other aspects of the church. She was devoted to her family and love working with her flowers. Miss Eleanor will be remembered for being a beautiful and lovely lady, always wearing a radiant smile and sharing her love with everyone she came in contact with. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Lee Palmer; along with three siblings, Sylvia Repass Foster, Annie Simmons, and Bud Taylor. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted and loving daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Terry Rose; her granddaughter, who she loved and adored, Dr. Terra Rose of Raleigh N.C; two siblings, Violet Belcher of Princeton, and Ray J. Taylor and wife Marlene of Pearisburg, VA; her very special friend, Wanda Lusk. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. on September 25, 2013.2
