     Hilda V. Shroyer was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Tekonsha, Calhoun Co., Michigan.¹ She Hilda V. Wood, 84, of Tekonsha, Mich., and formerly of Wells County, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born in Churubusco on Jan. 27, 1926, to Harry and Florence (Campbell) Shroyer. She lived in Tekonsha since 1973 after living in Pennsylvania and Indiana. Hilda is survived by her children; Max (Janette) Wood, Patricia (Richard) Troxel, Russell (Sue) Wood, Linda Barnes, Sharon (Rich) Karn, and David Wood; 10 grandchildren;, 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Kay (Ted) Sutorious; one brother, Larry (Sue) Shroyer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one grandson, Ian David Barnes; and former husband, Richard A. Wood. Hilda was a loving mother and grandmother who was the heart of her family. She loved to laugh, write letters and storytelling. Hilda was also a child of God who enjoyed an active church life through volunteer work. She was the pianist at the Tekonsha Church of God for many years. She also sold Avon products for over 40 years. Hilda will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater, Mich. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Union United Church of Christ UCC in Tekonsha with Rev. Barbara Pryor officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. Preferred memorials are to Tekonsha Area Church of God.¹ Her married name was Wood.¹ She married Richard Addis Wood, son of Archer Carl "Archie" Wood and Edna Mae Addis.¹ Hilda V. Shroyer and Richard Addis Wood were divorced.¹ Hilda V. Shroyer was born on January 27, 1926 at Churubusco, Whitley Co., Indiana.^2,1 She died on November 30, 2010 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, at age 84.^2,1
