Mrs. Watlington was a graduate of Radford University and taught school for 43 years in the Pittsylvania County School System. Mrs. Watlington was a member of the Gretna Chapter No. 118 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia W. Pierson of Gretna; one brother, Rev. Paul Ferguson of Danville; one sister, Dorothy Green of Fairfax; two grandchildren, Lee Moschler Pierson and wife, Mary, of Graham, N.C., and Susan P. Blanchard and husband, Steve, of Richmond; two great-grandchildren, Molly Kate Blanchard and Menley Anna Blanchard. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. on March 3, 2008.3

Cornerstone Conference where he served pastorates for 49 years of the following churches, Altavista, Collinsville, Freedom Worship, River Bend, Christian View, Cross Mill, Ingram Memorial, Lexington, all Pentecostal Holiness Churches, before retiring. He was a graduate of Oxford Institute and Southwestern Bible College. In addition to his wife of residence, he is survived by a daughter, Sarah F. Pressley and husband, Rev. Michael Pressley of Danville; a son, Charles Thomas Ferguson and wife, Jere A. Ferguson of Halifax; one sister, Dorothy Green of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Charles Thomas Ferguson, Jr. and wife, Marcey; Leah P. McCullar and husband, Rev. Lloyd McCullar; four great-grandchildren, Camden Ferguson, Brooks Paul Ferguson, Isaac McCullar, Emma McCullar; a step-grandchild, Kelley Haley and husband, Tyler; and two step-great-grandchildren, Dylan Haley and Aaron Haley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Evelyn G. Ferguson, Ruth F. Saunders, Odell F. Watlington, Garnette F. Hubbard, and one brother, Guy Ferguson. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. on December 1, 2008.4
