She was born in Craigs Creek, on November 9, 1945 to the late Ray Preston and Roxie Annie Caldwell, she was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Billy G. Brizendine Sr., 2nd husband, Clyde Carson Ballinger Jr., a daughter, Wanda B. Vest, grandsons, Travis & Ricky Smith. She is survived by her son, Billy G. Brizendine, Jr.,and wife, Caroline, of Christiansburg; daughters, Laura Bradford and husband, Tony, of Elliston, Angela Bishop and husband, Grant, of Hurricane, WV, Tabitha Greenhalgh and husband, Shawn, of Christiansburg, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters, Ella Cromer, of Blacksburg, B.J. Ballinger, and husband, Jack, of Christiansburg, brother, Jimmy Caldwell and wife, Diane, of Christiansburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will following in the Sunset Cemetery. on July 28, 2016.¹

     Wanda Lynne Brizendine Vest, Wanda Lynne Brizendine, age 49, of Stuart, VA died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her home. She was born in Richmond, VA on February 24, 1965. She is preceded in death by her sons, Travis Allen Smith and Ricky Lynn Smith, Jr. and her father Billy Gordon Brizendine. She is survived by her mother and step father, Mary and Junior Ballinger; daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha Brizendine Greenhalgh and husband, Shawn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura Sue Bradford and husband, Tony, Angela Karen Bishop and husband, Grant; brother and sister-in-law, Billy G. Brizendine, Jr. and wife, Caroline; grandchildren, Aaron, Emma, Haley, and Mason. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.² She was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² She was born on February 24, 1965 at Richmond, Virginia.^2,3,5 As of April 12, 1986,her married name was Smith.³ She married Ricky Lynn Smith on April 12, 1986 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3 Wanda Lynne Brizendine and Ricky Lynn Smith were divorced on January 26, 1995 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁴ As of September 30, 2005,her married name was Vest.³ Wanda Lynne Brizendine married Ricky Lee Vest on September 30, 2005 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ Wanda Lynne Brizendine died on December 31, 2014 at Stuart, Patrick Co., Virginia, at age 49.²

     Travis Allen Smith was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² He died on March 28, 1988 at Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on March 28, 1988 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3

     Ricky Lynn Smith Jr. was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3 He SMITH, Ricky Lynn Jr., age 24, of Christiansburg and Stuart died, Thursday, January 17, 2013, at his home. He was born in Roanoke, VA on March 28, 1988. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Travis Allen Smith, paternal grandparents, George and Nellie Smith. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Vest of Stuart; father, Ricky Smith, Sr. of Snowsville; sister and brother-in-law Tabitha Brizendine and husband, Shawn of Christiansburg; two nieces, Emma and Haley; two nephews, Aaron and Mason; Grandparents, Mary and Junior Ballinger; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
