He is survived by his wife, Patricia Watlington Pierson of the residence; a son, Lee Moschler Pierson and wife, Mary, of Graham, N.C; a daughter, Susan Pierson Blanchard and husband Steve of Fredericksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Freddie and Stella Pierson of Gretna; a granddaughter, Molly Kate Blanchard; mother-in-law, Odelle F. Watlington of Gretna; a niece and nephew, Lari Scruggs and Rodney Pierson. Burial followed in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. on July 7, 2004.⁵
