Teressa approached life with a smile and gave support to everyone around her. She babysat, baked cookies, helped in the hard moments and joyfully celebrated the good times. She gave all of herself to her family, extended family, and friends. Teressa was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Bowles, and a daughter, Jennifer Sommers. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rodney Wells; sister, Janice Shelton and her husband, David Shelton; daughters, Emily Hatch, and Leslie Wells and her husband, Peter Betuel; son-in-law, Kevin Sommers and his wife, Judy Sommers; grandchildren, Jessica Hatch and her husband, Paul Compagnon, Will Hatch and his wife, Katelynn Hatch, Eric Sommers and his wife, Stevana Sommers, Mark Sommers and Annalise Pisculli, Christopher Betuel, and Sarah Betuel; nephew, Paul Bowles and his wife, Tammy Bowles; niece, Michelle Owen and her husband, Dan Owen; nephew, Neal Fitzgerald; grand-nieces, Sydney Bowles, Cassidy Stambaugh and her husband, Sam Stambaugh; and grand-nieces, Meghan Wyatt and Samantha Owen. Jennifer was a teacher at the Asbury United Methodist Church preschool, and a counselor in the family programs at the Finley YMCA. She was very active in her church and at her sons’ schools. Jennifer loved sunning on the beach, creating beautiful scrapbooks of family photos, organizing events for her sons’ activities, going on vacations, socializing with friends and family, and playing with Ollie, their Labrador retriever. Jennifer brought a sparkle to any room she entered; her generous spirit and cheerful nature touched everyone she met. Above all, she was a fantastic Mom. She will be greatly missed. Jennifer is survived by her husband Kevin, and their sons, Eric and Mark; by her parents, Rodney and Teressa Wells; and by her sisters, Leslie Wells and Emily Hatch. on August 21, 2012.²
