     John William Hollett Jr. John William Hollett Jr. of Charlotte Hall, Maryland died suddenly at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on Saturday, April 15, 2006. He was 58 years old. He was a member of Virginia Tech Class of 1969 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He then held numerous positions with Bechtel Corporation during his 35 years of service with them. His work involvement required him and his family to move throughout the country. Mr. Hollett was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In his spare time, Mr. Hollett enjoyed woodworking, fishing, being outdoors, especially doing yard work. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Joe Towler, a half brother, Billy Rigney, a step-brother, Roy Hedrick, a sister, Peggy Hedrick, a half sister, Alene Parker, a step-sister, Beulah Minter, a special nephew, Timothy Minter, her first husband, Maurice George, and her step-father, Semple Hedrick. Mrs. Williams was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church, and was a secretary at Climax Elementary School. She enjoyed flowers, and was a care giver for her family. She is survived by her husband, Douglas W. Williams of the residence, a son, James H. Williams and his fianc‚e, Jennifer L. Henry of Chatham, a step-son, Michael D. Williams and his wife, Rachel of Nokesville, a grandson, Joseph Williams; and two step-grandchildren, Sam Williams, and Alexis Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm, on August 7, 2004; a son, Maurice George; her parents, Ves and Vada; and 13 siblings, Walter, Lonnie, Goldie, Vanlora, Ruby, Josie, Esther, Bill, Letha, Betty, Cleo, Elmer Cletus and Alta Mae. Loretta is survived by a daughter and her husband, Gloria and Tom Cobb; a son, Keith Calton; a grandson, Dusty Rogers; a great grandson, Tucker Wyatt Rogers; four siblings, Eva Dial and Margaret Biggs and husband Wayne, Ralph Wilson, and Roy Wilson and wife Nan; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. A private burial in the Marshfield Cemetery. on November 10, 2013.¹

He left behind five grandchildren, Christy St. John, Melissa Frank, Rachel and Ethan Scott, and Jacob Davis; and one great-grandson, Caleb St. John; two sisters, Viola Martin and husband, Bobby, and Belle Golding and husband, Senate; and a host of dear nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from the N&S Railroad as a paint foreman and played fiddle with the N&W Stringband at the White House and Pentagon several times. He was a long time member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff and Virginia Veterans Care Center and the VA Hospital. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on July 11, 2012.¹

Daniel both of Chatham; a special niece and nephew Jessica and Travis Daniel. In addition to her parents and husband she is predeceased by one son, Jeffery L. George.
