She was the loving wife of the late Clarence William Viar, Sr. Born in Lynchburg, she is the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Spradlin and the late Ida Wills Spradlin. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Clarence W. Viar, Jr. and Jesse "Butch" Bobbitt; two daughters, Delores V. Deacon and Sheila V. Clark; one granddaughter, Lisa D. Williams and two sisters, Rosebud S. Cousin and Lucille S. Guzinsky and her devoted daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Burns "Liz" Dickerson. Peggy was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church and was retired from General Electric Corp. She is survived by one son, Ollie H. "Buddy" Bobbitt and his wife, Judy, of Danville; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, a president of the union at the Rhinelander Paper Co., a charter member and a president of the Rhinelander Chapter of the ARC, a player on the snowshoe baseball team in Tomahawk, WI, scoutmaster for a developmentally delayed troop at The Friendly Village (Rhinelander), a life member of the Sumner Sportsman's Club (WA), and was employed by Sans Souci as head of maintenance from 1996-2005 He enjoyed many things in life such as hunting, fishing, camping, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, waterskiing, bowling, trapshooting, carpentry, golf, and gardening (including flowers). Don was a family man and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We will miss him terribly but are at peace that he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. on August 21, 2009.2
