Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time but will be conducted at a later date. on April 1, 2015.³

Richard was a trusted friend and enjoyed helping others with addiction. In 2002, Richard survived a major stroke, and despite significant disabilities, enjoyed a wonderful life with his wife of 17 years, Judith Darrh. He became active in the Banner Boswell Conversation Group and co-chaired the West Valley Aphasia Support Group. He was an avid bowler, an enthusiastic dancer and a member of American Legion Post 62. Richard is survived by Judith and his children: Barbara Stevens (Bradford) Pocatello, Idaho, Kathy Riggs (Jack) Casper, Wyoming and Mike Engbretson (Suze) Beaverton, Oregon and their mother, Patricia Lowney Engbretson. He had 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. on August 2, 2015.²
