"Jake" Lumadue, 83, of Dunbar passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Valley Center. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Army with 20 years of service, having served his country with the 3rd Ranger Battalion, Company A, during World War II. He was a POW for 15 months in Germany. Mr. Lumadue was also a retired manager with Sears where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge and Order of Eagles Aerie 519. Surviving are his wife, Alma H. Lumadue; son, Tom Lumadue and his wife, Diane, of St. Albans, and their children, Luke and Anna Lumadue; and his daughter, Debbie Beldock and her husband, David, of San Diego, Calif., and their daughter, Jessica Beldock. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. "Dad was a loving man whose family meant the most to him.
