Victor Leroy Furman Victor Leroy Furman, age 60, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 18, 2012 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He was a mechanic. Victor L. He enjoyed fishing and camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Crystal Smith, Victor Leroy Furman, Jr., and LaDonna Stringer; step-children, Travis Boyd and Amelia Boyd; mother, Dellma Snyder, two brothers, Ory Furman, Jr. and Ed Furman; sister, Diane Furman; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby Naomi Lynch Ruby Naomi (Lynch) Furman, 81, Wellington resident since 1949, passed away Friday morning, April 23, 2004 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus. Ruby was born on April 7, 1923 at Rossville, Lincoln County, Okla., the seventh child of 11 children born to Alvie T. and Jessie T. (Haun) Lynch. On August 8, 1942 she married James L. Furman in Stillwater, Okla. Ruby worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" for Douglas Aircraft in Oklahoma City during WWII helping build C-47 cargo planes while Jim was stationed with the U.S. Army in Europe. She was a long time employee of Glasco Drug Store and also worked in the jewelry department of Wal-Mart from 1989 to 1994. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had served as an elder and deacon. She was also a volunteer at the Presbyterian Thrift Shop. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Hobbies that Ruby enjoyed were gardening, sewing, fishing and puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim in 1986; two brothers Clyde Lynch and Wayne Lynch; and four sisters Louise Kennedy, Irma McCain, Lona Ashmore, and Golda Pata. Survivors include her three sons, Criss Furman of Pagosa Springs, Colo; Jim D.
