Carmel, and he preceded her in death in November 1974. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Rodgers of Mt. Carmel; nine grandchildren, Mark and David Rodgers, Paula Kirkman, Jessica Hinderliter, Melinda Krider, Stacey and Jon Barthelemy, Shelia Moore and Gary Cropper; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was prededed in death by a daughter, Dorothy Barthelemy and a sister, Beulah Cropper. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) in Highland Memorial Cemetery. on September 11, 1996.³

Carmel died on Sept. 17, 2004, at the Veterans Hospital in Marion, Ill. He was born on Dec. 2, 1923, in Fairfield, the son of Samuel and Tina Cropper. Mr. Cropper worked at the Chrysler plant in St. Louis, Mo., for several years. He married Beulah Maxine Ales on Jan. 1, 1946. She preceded him in death on Nov. 10, 1987. Surviving are a son, Gary Cropper and wife, Angie, of Mt. Carmel; daughter, Sheila and husband, Howard Moore, of Lone Tree, Colo; five grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) Cropper, Brian (Melanie) Cropper, Kristi Cropper, Kendra (Jason) York and Katie (Jack) Crawford; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, and a grandson, Gary Troy Cropper. Tisdale, of 319 Mulberry St., Mt. Carmel died Saturday, November 30 at the Wabash General Hospital. A lifetime resident of this vicinity, he was born in Cowling, Illinois, September 24, 1913 and was the son of Jess and Louise Garrett Tisdale. He was married to Anna Pauline Ales, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Rodgers of Mt. Carmel; three brothers, Leo of Mt. Carmel, Gilbert and and Hilbia both of Detroit, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Marie Allen of Mt. Carmel; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Barthelemy and a sister, Gladys Tisdale. Interment was in Highland Memorial Cemetery. on December 2, 1974.³

Funeral services and interment will be in Carmel, Ill. on October 29, 1974.⁸
