     Sharon Emily Poff was buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Lebanon, Linn Co., Oregon.3 She Sharon Emily King, 61, of Crabtree, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Lebanon Community Hospital. A graveside service was held at the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery. She was born July 28, 1938 in Emmett, Idaho, the daughter of Clifton and Leah Blackburn Poff. When she was 12, her family moved to Orick, Calif., where they lived in a lumper camp. They later moved to Smith River, Calif., where she graduated from Del Norte High School in 1956. She then attended attended Brigham Young University and Humboldt State, University, where she studied to become a teacher. She worked as a meter maid in Eureka, Calif; until 1966, when she moved to, Blue Lake, Calif. and worked as a title reading director for Blue Lake Elementary School until 1981. She moved to Crabtree that year and again worked at the local elementary schools with children who struggled to read. She resided in Crabtree until her death. Throughout her life, she worked at several Circle K and 7-Eleven stores. King was an avid reader and she loved to write. Some of her favorite things were watching her grandsons play football and baseball, walking on the beach, crocheting, quilting and being with her family. She also took great pride in her ability to give the gift of reading to a child. She mariried Wayne King in Albany in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Leah; and two infant sons, Phillip and William. She is suivived by her husband, Wayne of Crabtree; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Diane Baxter of McKinleyville, Calif; two stepdaughters, Marie Haze of Eugene and Donna Jackson of Bakersfield, Calif; a stepson, Wayne King Jr. of Albany; two grandsons and six step-grandchildren.3 She was born on July 28, 1938 at Emmett, Gem Co., Idaho.3,4 As of September 25, 1957,her married name was Baxter.2 She married Riley C.
