Born in Hamilton county, she had lived in Indianapolis for 10 years and in Marion county for 16 years. She was a member of the Christian church in Donelson. Three daughters, Mrs. Donald Umbarger, of Logansport; Mrs. Doit Myler, of Nashville; Mrs. Max Comerford, of Laotto, and two sons, Willard D., of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Paul, of LaCrescenta, Calif., survive. Also surviving are two brothers, William S. Burkhardt, of Indianapolis; Clarence W., of Ann Arbor, Mich; Mrs. John Yarling, of Rosenburg, Tex; Mrs. Roy Chapple, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; on August 10, 1959.3
