Katheryn Louise "Kay" Kiser was born on March 29, 1923 at El Dorado, Butler Co., Kansas.1 As of November 5, 1941,her married name was Fitzgerald.1 She married Merle Sylvester Fitzgerald, son of Sylvester Marion Fitzgerald and Mary Emma Hulings, on November 5, 1941.1 Katheryn Louise "Kay" Kiser Katheryn "Kay" Kiser Fitzgerald Carringer, a resident of St. Paul's, West Salem Township, formerly of Tionesta and Hermitage, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 4:38 a.m. Friday (8-28-15) in her residence. She was 92. Mrs. Carringer was born March 29, 1923, in El Dorado, Kan., one of five children born to Karl H. and Alice Griffith Kiser. Following graduation from high school, she attended Erie Commercial College. A homemaker, Kay was a longtime member of New Virginia United Methodist Church, Hermitage, serving in many organizations and as secretary for the church. After moving to Tionesta, she transferred her membership to Tionesta Methodist Church, where she was welcomed with love. Sewing was a favorite pastime of Kay's. She also was an exceptional quilter, making a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. She passed down the love of baking and crafting to all. Her gift to her family on the event of her 90th birthday was a special red pie plate complete with her favorite pie recipe. She was especially proud of being a Girl Scout leader for Troop 98, taking the troop through their senior year of high school. She married Merle "Pat" Fitzgerald on Nov. 5, 1941, and they were married 53 years until his passing on July 19, 1995. She then married Robert Milo Carringer of Tionesta, on Jan. 11, 1997; he passed away Aug. 9, 2009. Kay was the mother of four children, Karen Groce and her husband Herb, Hollidaysburg, Pa; Marilyn Deiger and her husband Gary; and Michael Fitzgerald and his wife Cheryl, all Hermitage; and Patti Leipheimer and her husband Jack, Greenville. She was a grandmother of nine and great-grandmother to 10. She also leaves a special niece, Chris Rog; and four stepchildren. To know Kay was to experience her strong will and grace. Her life was a daily celebration that was shared with her family as well as with those all around her. In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. on August 28, 2015.1 She died on August 28, 2015 at West Salem Township, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania, at age 92.1

Hulings died on March 8, 2012 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at age 77.4,2 He Donald F. Hulings, 77, of Lincolnville, Pa., died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born in West Hickory, Pa., on January 10, 1935, a son of the late Lee and Mabel Hannah Hulings. Don was raised and educated in Tidioute, Pa. As a young man, he worked at local lumber mills and as a log truck driver for many years. He later worked at Corry Jamestown Corp. in many different departments over the years and retired from there in 1992 as a quality control inspector. Don had also worked at Tonnard Manufacturing in Corry for a number of years. He was a member of the Gem City Rock and Mineral Club in Erie. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and had visited every state except Hawaii. Don also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening. He and his wife spent several winters in Brookeland, Texas, where they enjoyed fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Edmiston and Virginia Watson; six brothers, Lee, Aldon, Merle, Richard, Jack and George Hulings; and a grandson, Travis Blue Hulings. Don is survived by his wife, Maxine Miller Hulings, whom he married on June 6, 1953, in Ripley, N.Y; a daughter, Robin Kieklak and her husband, Richard, of Wattsburg, Pa; two sons, Donald E. Hulings and his wife, Dixie, of Lincolnville and Mark Hulings of Corry, Pa; and four sisters, Emma Cross of Corry, Pa., Marjorie Varassa of Corry, Pa., Janet Reide of Meadville, Pa., and Helen Giacoma and her husband, Edward, of Corry, Pa. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Renee Arreola and her husband, Mike, and Rhonda Callan; two great-grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Arreola; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Centerville United Methodist Church, Route 8, Centerville, Pa. The Rev. Clyde Cooper, of the Riceville Nazarene Church, will officiate. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date. on March 12, 2012.2
