Doris Wickline was buried at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on July 12, 1925 at White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia.2 As of circa 1946,her married name was Akers.1 She married William Edward Akers, son of Other Lee Akers and Aldena Hoback, circa 1946.1,2 Doris Wickline died on April 23, 2012 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 86.2 She FAYETTEVILLE — Doris Wickline Akers, 86, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on July 12, 1925, at White Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of the late Delbert Clayton and Lula Glenda Corron Wickline. Doris was a member of Fayetteville United Methodist Church and a member of American Legion Post 149 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a message transmitter for Western Union at Ashford General located at the Greenbrier Hotel during WWII and later in Washington, D.C., after the war where she met her husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Akers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward "Bill" Akers on August 13, 2011; grandson, Nathan Anthony Mullins; three brothers, D.C. Wickline, Donnie Wickline and Wesley Wickline; and two sisters, Kathleen Alderman and Margaret Casto. Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her children, Peggy Mullins of Fayetteville, Mark and wife Jay of Fayetteville, and Jane O'Leary and husband Barry of Beckley; five grandchildren: Lee Ann Pittman, Clayton and Emily Akers, Destiny Spearen and her husband Richie, Isaiah Brubaker and his wife Sara; great-grandchildren, Sam and Emma Pittman, Maddie Pritt, Willie and Tucker Spearen and Anthony Brubaker; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church, 120 High Street, with Rev. Claire Sulgit-Horn officiating. Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. on April 25, 2012.2

Nathan Anthony Mullins was buried at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2 He Nathan Anthony Mullins, seven-year-old son of Larry Wayne and Peggy Akers Mullins of Fayetteville, whose death occured Wednesday, Oct. 21, in West Virginia University Hospital at Morgantown, lost the battle against a rare form of cancer (Aplasticanemia). Young Nathan had touched the hearts of everyone in Fayette County with many benefits held in his behalf. He was born Dec. 8, 1973, at Beckley and was a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, at the church, the Rev. Billy Reed Wickline and Dr. Steve Swicker in charge. Burial was in Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Others surviving are: Lee Ann Mullins, at home; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullins of Oak Hill and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Akers of Fayetteville.2 He was born on December 8, 1973 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.2 He died on October 21, 1981 at Morgantown, Monongalia Co., West Virginia, at age 7.2
