Surviving are four daughters, Carol Gorton of Woodstock, VA, Marie Manuel and Ann Shaffer both of Front Royal, and Donna Ramos of Colorado Springs, CO; one son, Billy Dowdy of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Harold "Pete" Booterbaugh of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Marie Sills of Clifton, VA; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Batts and Kenneth Batts; and several brothers and sisters. on July 1, 2013.²
