She was a retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with nearly 40 years of service. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Lillie loved her family deeply and was a strong woman of faith, attending Valley Presbyterian Church in Narrows for many years. She also loved flowers, quilting, knitting and helping others. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel Ray Elmore, of Blacksburg; a brother, Edward Elmore and wife, Sherry; four sisters, Mamie Philpott, Margaret St.Clair, Ellen Elmore and Phyllis Lyon; a sister-in-law, Martha Elmore; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends.
