Mr. Luther George Shewey, age 64, beloved husband and Father and Grandfather went to be with our Lord Jesus and his Father Monday, July 28, 2014, a native of Bland, Va.. Mr. Shewey was born on May 30, 1950, to his late father, Levi G. Shewey and still surviving mother, Martha L. Shewey, in his home of Bland, Va. He worked at the East River Mountain Tunnell for 30 years where he retired and moved to Bristol, Tenn., to be with his wife and children. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Thomas Shewey. He was married to his wife, Jamie Conley Shewey for 44 years on June 7, 1970, who survives. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mrs. Jamie Conley Shewey; two daughters, Latrayle Leigh Shewey Tyeryar, 42, and Megan Jean Cox, 34; one son, Kellen Luther Shewey, 32; and one very special son-in-law, Erik Cox, 38, of Bristol, Tenn. He was also survived by five special granddaughters. Mr. Shewey also survives many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many many other special friends. A graveside service was held 2 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014, in Bland Cemetery with the Rev. Will Shewey and the Rev. LeRoy Long officiating. Pallbearers will be friends and family. on August 2, 2014.²

Martin was buried at Manntown Cemetery, Glen Saint Mary, Baker Co., Florida.^2,3 She was born on January 26, 1934 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^2,3 As of December 31, 1959,her married name was Fraser.² She married Carl Brantley Fraser on December 31, 1959 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida.^2,3 Loretta M. Martin died on August 3, 2014 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida, at age 80.² She Loretta M. Martin Fraser passed to Heaven Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Community Hospice with her family by her bedside. Cause of death was heart failure. Loretta was born in Southern West Virginia on January 26, 1934 to Robert and Esther Hale Martin. Her father died at an early age due to a mining accident. Loretta was educated in the public schools of Raleigh County, W.V. and through the large amount of reading she did. Reading and being a homemaker were her passions, which included caring for her family. Having become a Christian as a young girl, Loretta always put her family before herself. Her attitude was always the cup is half full, never complaining as in why me Lord? Loretta moved to Jacksonville in 1955 and worked for Western Auto Distribution Center for twenty years, making numerous friends. She met Carl Brantley Fraser in 1957 and they were married December 31, 1959 in Franklin Street Baptist Church. Loretta and Carl moved to Baker County, Florida in October, 1977 where she assisted in defeating the old phrase you can t go back home. Baker County became her home, Glen Baptist became her church, Carl's relatives and friends became her relatives and friends. Loretta was predeceased by her father: Robert Martin, mother: Esther Hale Martin Ferguson, stepfather: Marvin Ferguson, sister: Iris Drysdale, and brother: Bob Martin. She is survived by her husband: Carl Brantley Fraser, daughter: Lisa Renee (Brian) Patterson, grandchildren: Sandra Mobley, Amanda Frazer, Justin (Ashley) Raiford, great grandchildren: Brantley Dean Bryant, Logan Chase Thornton, Trenton Reid Thornton, Gabriel Lee Raiford, and Taylor Shea Raiford, sisters: Zelma Martin and Roberta (Don) Oxley, brothers: Fred (Judy) Ferguson and Mike (Debbie) Ferguson, sisters in law: Sara (Pete) Sizemore, Fay (Conny Sr.) Fiser and Marion (Virgil) Raulerson. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends in Florida and West Virginia also survive. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida with Pastor Randy Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary, Florida with Glen Raulerson, Berry Raulerson, Connie Fiser Jr., Donnie Oxley, Jeff Martin, Dean Bryant and Logan Thornton serving as Pallbearers. on August 5, 2014.²
