He contributed to environmental simulations for various space missions including Apollo. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge of the District of Columbia and continued his service to his country in the Naval Reserve until retirement. After his retirement, he moved to the San Antonio area, where he pursued his true passion as avid golfer and amateur golf club designer. He was most proud of finally shooting his age in a golf game, a very rare accomplishment. Wife Dorothy Beatrice Kitts, second wife Mary Delores Kitts, brothers Vernon, James, and sister Evelyn Patterson precede Bill in death. Survivors include: brothers Hewson Kitts, E.H. Surviving, in addition to the parents, are a brother, Dewey Wayne Sibold, at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Sibold of Peterstown; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Spangler. Jr., of Ballard. Funeral services were conducted the following Tuesday afternoon in the First Missonary Baptist Church of Ballard with the Rev. Kelly Bane officiating. Burial followed in the Orchard Cemetery at Ballard.⁴ She was born on September 17, 1971 at West Virginia.² She died on September 19, 1971 at Morgantown, Monongalia Co., West Virginia.^2,3,4
