     Her married name was Staly.3 Jane A. McNerney married Fredrick Warren "Frederick" Staly, son of Cecil Frederick Staly and Bessie A. Marshall.3 Jane A. McNerney was born on March 21, 1921 at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.1,2 She and Fredrick Warren "Frederick" Staly were divorced in November, 1967 at Lake Co., Florida.3 Jane A. McNerney died on January 19, 2017 at Maitland, Orange Co., Florida, at age 95.2 She Staly, Jane - age 95 of Maitland FL; passed away peacefully on January 19, 2017. Jane was born in Rochester, NY on March 21, 1921 to the late Justin and Jeanette McNerney. After high school graduation she attended William Smith College and received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts in 1943. Later in life she attended the University of Rochester, Rollins College and Jacksonville University ultimately graduating from the University of North Florida with double Bachelor of Art degrees in Political Science (1973), Sociology (1974) and a Master of Arts in Counseling (1975). She was a fiercely independent spirit, a person that stood-up against social injustice and was a civil rights activist, receiving an award from the City of Jacksonville, FL for helping quell a riot. She was a lifelong social worker. As Manager of Orange County Mental Health Services she implemented the Baker Act for crisis mental health services. Jane was Past Board Chairman of the Mental Health Association of Orange County (1967) and an active Board Member, Florida Association for Mental Health (1950's). In 1950 she participated in the White House Conference on Child Development. Jane was a champion of those less fortunate where she touched thousands of lives while working for the Central Florida Sheltered Workshop, Goodwill Industries, Jewish Family and Children's Services, Young Women's Christian Association and Orange County Government. Before she retired she was the supervisor for the Orange County Jail Mental Health block where she provided mental health counseling to inmates. Jane was also a civil rights activist in the 1960's and 1970's where she re-established a Center for African-Americans in Jacksonville, FL and received a Race Relations Award from Grace Missionary Baptist Church and Christian Brotherhood award from African-American Church both in Jacksonville, FL. After her retirement she remained active in local politics and the Maitland Senior Center where she led the writer's group for over 20 years, even after losing most of her eyesight. In 2011 President Barack Obama awarded her the President's Lifetime Achievement Award and on her 90th birthday the City of Maitland Proclaimed March 21, 2011 as Jane M. Staly Day in the City of Maitland. Jane had a very diverse group of friends who were like an extended family to her. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert McNerney. She is survived by her son, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly and his wife Debbie, Palm Coast, FL; her daughter Judy Weber, Mohegan Island, ME; her grandchildren Lauren, Matt, John and Tom and four great-grandchildren Erin, James, Kavi and Sachin and step-granddaughter Diana Wolf and her husband Jerrid and three step-great grandchildren Aiden, Lexi and Adalynn. on January 24, 2017.2

     Martha Elizabeth Palmiter was buried at Shotts-Hagen Cemetery, Tylersburg, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.1,4,2 She was born on June 22, 1913 at Pennsylvania.1 As of March 10, 1932,her married name was Marshall.3 She married William James Marshall, son of George Howard Marshall and Della Musetta Dolby, on March 10, 1932 at Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.1,2,3 Martha Elizabeth Palmiter died on December 20, 1941 at Farmington Township, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 28.1,2 She Martha Elizabeth Marshall, 28, wife of William Marshall of Tylersburg, died at her home at 12:30 a.m. Saturday after a brief illness. Besides her husband she is survived by five children; Mary, James, Jennie, Louise, and William, all at home; her father James Palmiter, one sister, Genevieve Wagner, and one brother, Lawrence, all of Bradford. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at the home with Rev. Tarbell, pastor of the Tylersburg M.E. church, officiating. Interment will be in the Hagan cemetery. on December 22, 1941.2

     Mary Judith Marshall Mary Judith Miller, 60, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Wednesday December 4, 2019 at her residence following a period of declining health. Mary was born February 8, 1959 in Biloxi, Mississippi, she lived a number of years in Ohio and had recently moved to Dawsonville from McDonough, GA. A loving wife and a nurturing mother, she loved life and her gentleness and good sense of humor was evident. She possessed a great passion for music and loved to sing in the choirs of the churches she attended. She loved her God, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was actively involved at the Howland United Methodist Church in Warren, Ohio. Mary was preceded in death by her father, James Howard Marshall and her sister, Nancy Ann Marshall. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Daro Gene Miller, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Brian James and Jordan Grantham Miller, Cumming, GA; grandsons, Chandler Grantham Miller and Raiden Marshall Miller; mother, Shirley Mae Marshall, Vienna, Ohio; sisters, Barbara Edwards, Fowler, Ohio, Sally Thompson, Keymar, Maryland, Laura Lo Verme, Cortland, Ohio, Bonnie Isaac, Pulaski, Pennsylvania; father in law, Richard H. Miller, Vienna, Ohio. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday December 7, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home. Another memorial service will be held in Howland, Ohio at a later date.1 She was born on February 8, 1959 at Biloxi, Harrison Co., Mississippi.1 As of circa 1983,her married name was Miller.1 She married Daro Gene Miller circa 1983.1 Mary Judith Marshall died on December 4, 2019 at Dawsonville, Dawson Co., Georgia, at age 60.1
