He was blessed with five grandchildren, Amanda Richardson of College Park, Md., Allison Richardson Kickhofel of Pensacola, Fla., Miranda Swanson, Jennifer Swanson, and Marshall Swanson of Lantana Fla; and a great-grandson, lley Ryan Kickhofel of Pensacola, Fla. Mr. McBride had over 30 years of federal service as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Air Force and as a civil service employee. He began his service career as an aircraft mechanic and flight engineer on bomber aircraft ranging from the B-12 to the B-29. He continued his career as an aircraft maintenance analyst in the Strategic Air Command and later transferred to Hq 6550 AB group, ARDC at Patrick AFB. After his military retirement in 1960, he continued his federal career with civil service at Patrick AFB. Mr. McBride was a member of the Melbourne Elks Lodge no. 1744. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1st, at 1 p.m., at the Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge. Interment will follow the service, with full military honors. on April 30, 2004.3
