In the 1930 and 1940 Census she was enumerated as their granddaughter. I believe her mother was the unmarried Mildred Bigley, who is listed as her sister in her obituary.1,2 She died on May 13, 1974 at Darlington, Darlington Co., South Carolina.2 She HARTSVILLE - Mrs. Lois Bigley McCaskill, 49, wife of Jackson R. McCaskill, died Monday in a Darlington hospital after along illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Gum Branch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Mrs. McCaskill was born in Clarion, Pa., a daughter of the late John W. and Catherine Reed Bigley. She was associated with Byerly Hospital, Hartsville; two daughters, Mrs. Colin King and Mrs. Bob Horne both of Hartsville; five sons, Jackson R. McCaskill Jr., John William McCaskill, Steven Neil McCaskill, Randall Mark McCaskill and Timothy David McCaskill all of Hartsville; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Eberline and Miss Mildred Bigley both of Clarion, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Helen Porter of Canton, Ohio; three brothers, Charles Bigley and Geary Bigley both of Clarion, Pa. and Francis Bigley of San Mateo, Calif., and seven grandchildren. on May 15, 1974.2

Marlin and his wife Barb worked for Owens-Illinois and relocated to North Carolina in 1973 when O-I opened a new plant in Midway. He retired with 37 years of service and in retirement enjoyed doing volunteer work. Marlin is preceded in death by his parents, Vernice Henry Stark and Sara Bish Stark and his wife of 57 years, Barbara Ann Bigley Stark. Survived by his twin brother Melvin Stark (wife Grace), sister Kathy Stark Guth (husband Austin), sons Jeffrey Alan Stark (wife Sheryl) and Barry Floyd Stark (wife Kathy), granddaughter Natalie Jul Stark (her daughter Graceland Rose, Marlin’s great granddaughter) and grandson Matthew David Stark.
