Betty was primarily a line cook, and throughout her life, she worked at different restaurants in and around Brookville. She was known for her ability to skillfully serve large amounts of people and making no errors in their orders. She worked hard in providing for her family, whom she loved dearly. Betty was a member of the Punxsutawney First United Methodist Church. From a young age, she gained a love for reading, with romance and western novels being her favorite. She enjoyed watching westerns on television and working through her puzzle books. She loved roses. The most important part of her life was her family. Betty is survived by a daughter, Cindy Gray of St. Petersburg, Florida; four sons, Kenneth Byerly of Sigel, Ray Byerly of Sigel, Steve (Tracy) Byerly of Kaletown, Pa., and Dave (Erin) Byerly of Sigel; six grandchildren, Ricky, Angie, Kalin, Cory, Phillip and MacKenzie; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Brown; and a sister, Ruby Brown. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul Ritchey officiating. Interment will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Township, Jefferson County. on May 15, 2016.3

She first wed George Steele, who preceded her in death. She then wed Richard Rudolph, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are three children, Vickie Doutt and her husband, Jimmy of Clarion, Lorie “Jeannie” Neeper and her husband, Edward of Curwensville and Rae Singer and her husband, Tim of Woodland. Also surviving are a grandson, Ryan Voland of Woodland, who is now serving with the U.S. Air Force in Germany and a half-brother, Linn Reaghart and his wife, Karen of Clarion. There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. on October 12, 2017.3
