He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Michael Gauldin. He is survived by his sons, John "Jay" Marshall Gauldin II and Christopher "Chip" Michael Gauldin and his sister, Sandra Freas. A native of Roanoke, Johnny graduated from Northside High School and married the mother of his two boys, Carole Ann Peters. He served in the United States Army for three years where he earned the rank of Specialist 5 and received an honorable discharge. Johnny was best known for his dancing, carpentry, and his entrepreneurial mindset. Also involved in his community, he served as a deacon of his church. He dreamed big and always said he lived a full life. He will be deeply mourned and missed by his family and friends. on March 26, 2023.2
