     Howard Ray Dickerson Howard Ray Dickerson, 29 of Beaver, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, following a rafting accident on the New River. Born July 6, 1972, in Beckley, he was the son of Ray and Frances Riffe Dickerson of Beckley. Mr. Dickerson was a 1990 honor graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, a 1995 Cum Laude graduate of West Virginia University with a B.A. degree in psychology. He completed his master's degree in child psychology in 2001. He previously worked for Timberline Health Group and was currently employed by Burlington Child Care Center. He was a ski instructor at Winterplace and formerly at Wisp Ski Resort in Maryland. Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church and the Class of Joy Sunday school class. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and skiing. He was preceded in death by an infant brother; his maternal grandparents, Duffy and Bea Riffe; and his paternal grandfather, H.B. Dickerson. Surviving, besides his parents, include a sister, Rebecca Honaker and her husband, Keith, of Crab Orchard; his girlfriend, Rozzana Jereza of Huntington; his paternal grandmother, Chloe Dickerson of Beckley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Crab Orchard Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Shields officiating.
