Mr. Ransom Eugene "Gene" Baughman, age 82, entered into rest at his home on February 22, 2024. He was born in Aiken, SC to the late Mr. Joe Baughman and the late Mrs. Eula Mae Chaflinch Baughman. He was married to the late Alice Day Baughman and the late Mrs. Judy Trent Baughman. He worked at Carbonic Industries in Augusta for 15 years and retired in 1997. He also was a truck driver for 45 years. Mr. Baughman enjoyed golfing, small motors, sports, and was an avid Gamecock fan. Survivors include: two sons, Ronald (Marsha) Baughman, Aiken, SC and Melvin (Lois) Baughman, Aiken; two daughters, Sharon (Wayne) Hadden, Aiken, SC and Allison (Duane) Gantt, Aiken; three brothers, Norman Baughman, Donnie Baughman, and Wayne Baughman, Aiken, SC; three stepsons, Chuck Dowden, Scott Trent, Richard McCants, from Great Falls; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Shupe, Dee Faile, Theresa Johnson, from Great Falls; four sisters, Jeanette Widener, Elgin, SC, Eyvonne Benson, Warrenville, Lois Kelly, Aiken, and Wanda Tucker, Aiken; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Baughman was predeceased by one brother Denzal Baughman; two sisters Evelyn Miano and Pearlie Herron; and two grandchildren, Linda Faye Baughman and Danielle Baughman. Pallbearers are Timothy Baughman, Ron Baughman, Ransom Baughman, Zach Newsome, Tyler Lucas, and Ricky Dubose.2 He married Judy Ann Trent, daughter of Eli Aubert Trent and Causba Jane O'Neal.3,4,2 Ransom Eugene Baughman was born on October 5, 1941 at Aiken, Aiken Co., South Carolina.2 He died on February 22, 2024 at Aiken, Aiken Co., South Carolina, at age 82.2

Mrs. Canty was born in Logan, WV and was a daughter of the late Willie S. Wright and Mandy O’Neal Wright. Mrs. Canty was formerly employed as a spinner and weaver in the textile industry and was also employed in the food industry.      Eddie Henderson Canty Mr. Eddie Henderson Canty 69, passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Mr. Canty was born in Rock Hill, SC. He is the son of the late Allen Barnes Canty and Ella Lou Wanda Sanders Canty. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Curtis, Allen Jr, Lawrence Sr and his wife Connie Wright Canty. He was a member of the Catawba Indian Nation and grew up on the Reservation. He worked in the textile industry and for veterans cab before retiring due to his health. Eddie is survived by his daughter Emily Canty of Rock Hill, who was and always will be his heart. (What Emily wants Emily Gets). His Step-daughter Lisa Mackey of Monroe, GA, Step-sons Andrew Wright (Makayla), Lee McGraw (Alexis), Tj McGraw. 2 step-grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Cecil Canty (Dorothy), sisters Rosemary Roberts (Johnny), Louise Shirah, Ella Campbell, Fern Lambiasi, Elizabeth McGinnis, Elaine Cherry, Ollie Thomas all of Rock Hill. His god son Dale McGraw, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at Wayne T Patrick Hospice House for the excellent care given to our beloved father, brother and uncle. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Eddie's name to Hospice & Community Care Rock Hill.1 He was born circa 1951 at Rock Hill, York Co., South Carolina.1 He married Connie Mae Wright, daughter of Willie Sherman Wright and Amanda V.
