He was born Aug. 10, 1989, in Portsmouth, a son of the Rev. James H. and Leona M. Griffith Lens of Lucasville. Rodney was a member of the New Beginning Church of God in West Portsmouth and a 2008 Northwest High School graduate. He was the quarterback for Northwest's football team. He also played basketball and ran track. His life ambition was to attend Lee University and pursue pastoral studies. He is also survived by his twin brother, James Michael Lens of Lucasville; his fiancee Brittany Walk of Minford; grandparents, Bill and Margaret Tatman of Lucasville, Paul and Carol Lens of Brockton, Mass., and Donald and Loraine Griffith of Lucasville. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. on July 14, 2009.⁵

     Micheal Paul Hunter was buried at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Antioch, Lancaster Co., South Carolina.² He Michael Paul Hunter, 38, of Chester, departed this life, Monday, January 27, 2014, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born September 4, 1975, at Lancaster, the son of Cathy S. Hunter of Chester and the late Larry Dean Hunter. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Maude Hunter; maternal grandparents, Eli and Causba Trent; and one aunt, Shirley Dowden. Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Jimmy (Theresa) Hunter of Lancaster, and Larry W. Hunter of Rock Hill; one special nephew, Jayden Hunter of Chester; ten uncles, Larry Trent, Bobby Trent, Ronnie Trent, Danny Trent, Norman Trent, John Trent, Jackie Trent, Dickie Trent, Terry Trent, and Seth Trent; two aunts Judy Boughman and Patricia Trent; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.³ He was born on September 4, 1975 at Lancaster, Lancaster Co., South Carolina.^2,3 He died on January 27, 2014 at Logan, Logan Co., West Virginia, at age 38.^2,3
