Graveside services will be held from the Maxey-Moye Cemetery on Cornbread Ridge near Gardner. Pallbearers will be Harry Watts, Jack Ferguson, Richard Matthews, Dean Bailey, J.P. Worrell and Fred Danieley. on August 4, 1998.3

Born May 14, 1940 in Bluefield, WV he was the son of Ryan Mac Pitzer and Sallie Larue Pitzer. He is survived by his daughter, Sally Thomas and husband Carl of Green Valley; five grandchildren, Robert L. Pitzer, Benjamin Hammond, Tonya Blackburn, Ryan Lewis, Raylee Lewis, Donavon Thomas, and Melissa Osborn; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; daughters-in-law, Lady Rose Pitzer of Princeton and Miss Amy Pitzer of Princeton. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the Mercer County Veterans Council performing Military last rites. on August 2, 2019.2

While his health permitted, Mr. Pitzer was a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment, having worked for Ken Carter Engines in Green Valley. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and horses, but most of all his three grandchildren whom he loved and adored with all his heart. Born August 15, 1961 in Princeton, he was the son of Ray Jackson Pitzer Sr. of Green Valley and the late Della Mae Thomas-Pitzer (1943-1999). In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Jackson “Fat Jack” Pitzer Jr. (1964-2009).
