Nina was born on February 7, 1946, in Princeton, West Virginia. She graduated from Giles High School in Pearisburg, Virginia in 1965. Nina married Kendall Pratt on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1965, and they lived together with their children in Richmond, VA., before relocating to Apex in 1984. A generous and kind-hearted person, Nina was thoughtful to friend and stranger alike. Though Nina worked until cancer forced her to retire, she was most passionate about the many different crafts she loved to make. For years, Nina made leather goods such as belts and key chains that she gave to friends. She also loved to make ceramic arts, including exquisite hand-glazed Christmas trees that she donated as a prize every year at a basketball contest during the annual Pratt pig-pickin’. During the last years of her life, Nina rediscovered the joys of crocheting, and she tirelessly crocheted beautiful knit hats for area cancer patients. Nina also treasured making her own jewelry, sewing, quilting, and crafting tin angels that she enjoyed giving away to people she met in the course of her day. Nina is survived by her husband, Kendall Pratt of Apex; son, Kendrick Pratt and daughter-in-law Angela Woods, of Raleigh; and her daughter, Audrey Pratt and son-in-law George Cooper, of Sodom Laurel, North Carolina. In addition to her husband and children, Nina is survived by five sisters, Wanda Terry, Hazel Shope, and Rosa Slusher all of Virginia; Joyce Terry and Katherine Terry of Florida; and two brothers, William Terry of Florida, and Lee Terry of Georgia. She is predeceased by her sisters Dixie Terry and June Jones of Virginia. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. on November 4, 2011.

A native of Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Nina Canteberry Terry. She was preceded in death by Thomas Edward Lee, William Goad, and Nina Pratt. Surviving are Vernon Goad, Jr; sons, Vernon Goad, III, Joey Terry; siblings Katherine, Wanda, Lee (Leala), Junior; grandchildren, Garrette Goad, Logan and MaKayla Terry. Joyce was a custodian at Dover Elementary School, was a loving mother, and good friend to all her neighbors and those that needed help. on July 29, 2015.³

He was a retired coal miner and heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of the International Union of Engineers. Born in Dott, WV, May 16, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Zachariah and Virginia Harman Taylor. She was a retired key-punch operator for the U.S. Department of Defense. Mary Alice was a graduate of Princeton High School and attended Christian Fellowship Chapel. In addition to her parents, three husbands, Arthur Seidler, L.W. Terry and Andrew Crawford and two sisters, Bertha Hedrick and Inez Martin, preceded her in death. Survivors include one sister, Violette Oney of Princeton and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.² She was born on May 16, 1923 at Dott, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of February 21, 1985,her married name was Terry.¹ She married Leonard William Terry, son of Edgar Lee Terry and Genevieve Lee "Geneva" Sarver, on February 21, 1985 at Bluefield, Tazewell Co., Virginia.^1,3,2 Mary Alice Taylor died on September 1, 2014 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 91.²

     Eula Mae White was buried at Resthaven Memorial Park, 1917 West Main Street, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,3 She was born on March 27, 1906 at Montcalm, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of October 4, 1979,her married name was Terry.² She married Leonard William Terry, son of Edgar Lee Terry and Genevieve Lee "Geneva" Sarver, on October 4, 1979 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,2 Eula Mae White died on August 6, 1980 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 74.¹ She Mrs. Eula Mae Terry, 74, of 518 Butler Street, Princeton, died in a Princeton hospital Wednesday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack while shopping in Princeton on Tuesday afternoon. She was a member of the Rogers Street Community Church of Princeton and had resided here for over 50 years. She was born at Montcalm on March 27, 1906, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Blankenship White. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her first husband, Thomas L. Lucas, and a son, Junior Lucas, on June 1 of this year. Survivors include her second husband, Leonard W. Terry of Princeton; two sons, Harry E. Lucas of Bristol, Tenn., and Alfred S. Lucas of Princeton; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Hicks of Princeton; one half-brother, Clarence Jones of Columbus, Ohio, two half-sisters, Mrs. Frances Dunn of Princeton and Mrs. Florence Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. on August 7, 1980.¹
