Nina married Kendall Pratt on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1965, and they lived together with their children in Richmond, VA., before relocating to Apex in 1984. A generous and kind-hearted person, Nina was thoughtful to friend and stranger alike. Though Nina worked until cancer forced her to retire, she was most passionate about the many different crafts she loved to make. For years, Nina made leather goods such as belts and key chains that she gave to friends. She also loved to make ceramic arts, including exquisite hand-glazed Christmas trees that she donated as a prize every year at a basketball contest during the annual Pratt pig-pickin’. During the last years of her life, Nina rediscovered the joys of crocheting, and she tirelessly crocheted beautiful knit hats for area cancer patients. Nina also treasured making her own jewelry, sewing, quilting, and crafting tin angels that she enjoyed giving away to people she met in the course of her day. Nina is survived by her husband, Kendall Pratt of Apex; son, Kendrick Pratt and daughter-in-law Angela Woods, of Raleigh; and her daughter, Audrey Pratt and son-in-law George Cooper, of Sodom Laurel, North Carolina. In addition to her husband and children, Nina is survived by five sisters, Wanda Terry, Hazel Shope, and Rosa Slusher all of Virginia; Joyce Terry and Katherine Terry of Florida; and two brothers, William Terry of Florida, and Lee Terry of Georgia. She is predeceased by her sisters Dixie Terry and June Jones of Virginia. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. on November 4, 2011.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. on August 7, 1980.1
