He worked for 28 years at Western United Live Assurance Company where he became Senior Vice President. Scott was a member of the Washington Officials Association and served as a football official for 34 years and scheduler for the past 3 years. He officiated youth league, high school, college and even Big Sky Conference games. He received many honors including Umpire of the year, Meritorious Service to the Youth of Our State, and the Larry Becker Award. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in many capacities, including Sunday School Teacher, Seminary Teacher, Bishop, and he fulfilled a Service Mission with his wife. He was known as a natural teacher. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Cordell and their four daughters: Vickie (and Jayson Burrie); Jackie (and Andrew Judd); Kasey (and Karl Woodard); and Jessie (and Tyson Chischillie); ten grandchildren (the latest born Friday, December 6); his mother, Vonnie Taylor Cordell; his sister, Gay (and Marc Ekelund); and sister-in-law, Dara Cordell. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Cordell and brothers: Michael Cordell and Robert Cordell. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; 401 W Regina, Spokane, WA 99218 on Wednesday December 11, 2013. The viewing will be at 10:00 am, the service at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside prayer at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley Spokane, WA. on December 8, 2013.²

She was born on June 23, 1928 to Lynn and Opal Crouch Noland in her grandmother Crouch´s home in Emmett, Idaho. She and her two brothers, Mack and Jack, attended grade school in Emmett. At age 15 her family moved to Boise where she graduated in 1947. She married Glen D. Cordell and they later divorced. Nicki worked in the banking industry and also as an administrative assistant. She was working as the manager of a credit union when she retired. She met and married the love of her life, Jack Shindledecker, a naval officer, and they spent many years living a sailor´s life. They lived in Hawaii and up and down both coasts, moving every summer, before Jack retired from the Navy and they returned to Idaho. They spent their early retirement years at their place on the Salmon River at Thompson Creek, halfway between Stanley and Challis. They were snowbirds, summering in Idaho and wintering in Arizona and Utah, and enjoyed the company of family and friends in both places. Nicki and Jack made friends easily and have friends all over the world. Nicki was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Mack Noland, and daughters Mindy Cordell and Debra Ruth Wilmarth. She is survived by her son, Michael L. Cordell (Terri Dillion and daughters April and Kathleen), daughter, Nancy Stevenson (Dennis), her brother, Jack Noland (Lucille), sister-in-law, Grace Noland, all of Boise; son, John Shindledecker (Debbie) and son-in-law, Bob Wilmarth of Mesa, Ariz; seven grandchildren: T.J. Hadzor (Dessa), Jeremy Shindledecker (Laurene), Clint Jarret, Kristy Gladden (Kyle), Josh Shindledecker (Krista), Nick Davis, and Johnathan Wilmarth; two great-grand children (Owen and baby Hadzor), her nephew, nieces, cousins and cherished friends; the Biddy Bunch (her luncheon group), pets Otto and Weezer, and her devoted husband of 47 years, John Burton Shindledecker. In my mothers heart is the greatest gift of all. for that is where so much love is kept for me. And in my heart, even when your light is gone, is where the love forever lives. Honey, your warm, vivacious, and spirited character and your sense of humor will be missed by all. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Avenue, Boise, Idaho. on September 10, 2006.²
