She was born on June 23, 1928 to Lynn and Opal Crouch Noland in her grandmother Crouch´s home in Emmett, Idaho. She and her two brothers, Mack and Jack, attended grade school in Emmett. At age 15 her family moved to Boise where she graduated in 1947. She married Glen D. Cordell and they later divorced. Nicki worked in the banking industry and also as an administrative assistant. She was working as the manager of a credit union when she retired. She met and married the love of her life, Jack Shindledecker, a naval officer, and they spent many years living a sailor´s life. They lived in Hawaii and up and down both coasts, moving every summer, before Jack retired from the Navy and they returned to Idaho. They spent their early retirement years at their place on the Salmon River at Thompson Creek, halfway between Stanley and Challis. They were snowbirds, summering in Idaho and wintering in Arizona and Utah, and enjoyed the company of family and friends in both places. Nicki and Jack made friends easily and have friends all over the world. Nicki was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Mack Noland, and daughters Mindy Cordell and Debra Ruth Wilmarth. She is survived by her son, Michael L. Cordell (Terri Dillion and daughters April and Kathleen), daughter, Nancy Stevenson (Dennis), her brother, Jack Noland (Lucille), sister-in-law, Grace Noland, all of Boise; son, John Shindledecker (Debbie) and son-in-law, Bob Wilmarth of Mesa, Ariz; seven grandchildren: T.J. Hadzor (Dessa), Jeremy Shindledecker (Laurene), Clint Jarret, Kristy Gladden (Kyle), Josh Shindledecker (Krista), Nick Davis, and Johnathan Wilmarth; two great-grand children (Owen and baby Hadzor), her nephew, nieces, cousins and cherished friends; the Biddy Bunch (her luncheon group), pets Otto and Weezer, and her devoted husband of 47 years, John Burton Shindledecker. In my mothers heart is the greatest gift of all. for that is where so much love is kept for me. And in my heart, even when your light is gone, is where the love forever lives. Honey, your warm, vivacious, and spirited character and your sense of humor will be missed by all. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Avenue, Boise, Idaho. on September 10, 2006.²

Cordell, 47, of Mukilteo, died unexpectedly August 31, 2001. He was born September 9, 1953 to Joe and Evelyn Cordell, in Boise, ID. Ivan had maintained his Chiropractic practice at Evergreen Chiropractic in Everett for the past 25 years. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, LouAnn; sons Ian and Christopher; his father Joe Cordell and wife Karen of Everett; and sister Carol McCabe and husband John of Coupeville; grandmother Nina Griffin of Boise, ID. Other family members include LouAnn's mother, Norma Cassady of Walcott, IA, her twin sister Lura and husband Gary Aronson of Bettendorf, IA, along with her brother Howard and wife Joy Freeman of Jackson Hole, WY. Ivan was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Evelyn R. Cordell; and father-in-law, Howard L. Cassady. Ivan graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1972, and then from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA, in 1976. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Chi Fraternity and has been a member of the Washington Chiropractic Association. He and LouAnn were married in Walcott, IA, and returned to Everett where he first opened his practice. He was a member of Overlake Christian Church in Redmond. Ivan has been active in the Everett Youth Soccer Sports Program. He loved salmon fishing and golfing. A Memorial celebration of Ivan's life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 8, 2001, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy of Everett. on September 7, 2001.⁵
