Sherry had worked as a geriatric nurse at several area nursing homes for many years. She was an avid St. Louis Blues Hockey fan and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. She enjoyed going to home games and watching them play on tv. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Sherry loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved and cherished her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Leiman Prater. He was born June 8, 1942, in Beckwith, the son of the late Robert and Fannie Holly Bickford. He also was preceded in death by a son, Leo Jr; his girlfriend, Patricia McCullough; his maternal and paternal grandparents;two infant brothers, Bobby and Tommy; and brothers, Ronnie Bickford and Jim Bickford. Surviving: Terri Hollis, with whom he resided – she was more than a caregiver to him. He thought of her like his daughter.      Bonnie J. Nester Bonnie Jean Bickford, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on June 3, 1943 at Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late Hazel Treadway. Bonnie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Bickford on February 22, 2014; and two sisters, Reba and Mary Virginia. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jim B. (Candy) Bickford; four sisters, Margarette Cook, Shirley Jamro, Betty Martinez, and Helen Collins; and granddaughter, Alyssa Grace. Burial will follow at the Adkins-Pate Cemetery, Beckwith.² She was buried at Adkins-Pate Cemetery in Crow Hollow, Beckwith, Fayette Co., West Virginia.² Her married name was Bickford.² She married James Franklin Bickford, son of Robert Samuel "Bob" Bickford and Fanny Clementine Holly.² Bonnie J.
