Walton was born on July 4, 1925 at West Virginia.^5,7 He died on January 28, 2007 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 81.^7,2 He James W. Walton, 81, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Jim was retired from Union Carbide Technical Center with 42 years service and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ruby Walton and his wife, Patricia Ann Stowers Walton. Jim is survived by two daughters, Pam Mitolo of Poland, Ohio, and Elizabeth Ann Gandee of Charleston; one son, James R. Walton of Charleston; many grand and great-grandchildren; and close friend, Mark Oatridge of Charleston. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date. on January 31, 2007.²

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Dick" Sr. and Thelma Stowers; and a brother, James F. Stowers. Surviving are her husband, James W. Walton; son, James R. Walton of Charleston; daughters, Pamela Kay Mitolo of Youngstown, Ohio, Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Gandy of South Charleston; brothers, Charles L. "Dick" Stowers Jr. and Paul G. Stowers, both of St. Albans, Robert R. Stowers of Charleston; sister, Sandra Samples of St. Albans; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at the West Virginia Memorial Chapel of Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Leesa Faith Callison officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial gardens. on March 5, 2003.²
