Born May 6, 1957 in Alexandria, VA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Virginia Layman Blackwell. She was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly of God in Charles Town. She is survived by two sons, Tucker J. Koontz, Corey W. Koontz; a daughter, April L. Milam; three grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Blackwell; and one sister, Lynn Takane. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00PM at Mt. Zion Assembly of God. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.² Her married name was Kamath.³ Her married name was Koontz.² She married Corey W. Koontz.² Gail Susan Blackwell married Narayana S.      Elizabeth Anne Gross Elizabeth Anne Gross Rodgers, 91 years old, of Pensacola, went home to her Lord and Savior after a battle with cancer. Elizabeth passed away at home with family on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Born in Williamsport, PA on August 2, 1929, Elizabeth lived her first 10 years in Pennsylvania. She graduated from high school in Union, NJ. Elizabeth later joined the US Marine Corps where she proudly served during the Korean conflict. She was a lifetime member of the Women Marines association and Women in Military Service for America. Of great pride to her is the chapter of the WMA that she organized while living in Newport News, VA. Elizabeth was an admin assistant for the US government for 27 years, retiring from Carswell Air Force Base, TX. During that time she also acquired her Bachelors degree. She volunteered at the library at the Wesco senior center in Pensacola for over 10 years and at Learn To Read of Northwest FL. Elizabeth's family and friends were her greatest treasures. She will be missed terribly by each of them. Elizabeth is survived by her children; Susan Rodgers, David Rodgers, Melissa Watts; grandchildren, Casey Diggs, Justin Diggs, Matthew Watts, Ian Watts, Alex Watts, Brandy Watts, Elliott Rodgers, Benny Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Lillian Hart, and London Hart.      Kenneth Wayne Shockey was buried at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, Russell Co., Alabama.^1,2 He was born on August 5, 1940 at Stuart, Patrick Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Doris Unknown on December 7, 1963.¹ Kenneth Wayne Shockey died on March 26, 2015 at Graceville, Jackson Co., Florida, at age 74.^1,2 He Graveside services for U.S. Air Force Retired MSGT Kenneth Wayne Shockey, age 74, of the Screamer Community, Abbeville, were held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:30 (CDT) at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Kent Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Mr. Shockey died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Signature Health Services in Graceville, Fla., after a brief illness. Born August 5, 1940 in Stuart, Va., Mr. Shockey was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Helen Marie Bohon Shockey. A 1958 graduate of Martinsville High School, Mr. Shockey also attended Fort Union Military Academy and Ferrum Junior College. He and Mrs. Shockey have lived in the Abbeville for approximately 29 years coming from Arizona. After serving in the military for so many years, when Mr. Shockey retired he wanted to be near the water to be able to fish and hunt. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and traveling to historic sites. He was even able to sight see and travel after being hired to drive an 18-wheeler. Having retired from the Air Force, Mr. Shockey was proud to be a veteran, he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of ACA (Air Commando Association), a member of DVA and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Doris Shockey, Abbeville; a daughter, Terri Shockey, Enterprise; stepdaughter, Candace (Cary) Southern, Tallahassee, Fla; three stepsons, Jeffery (Donna) Anderson, Tallahassee, Fla., Steven (Darlene) Anderson, DeFuniak Springs, FL., Kelvin (Ona) Anderson, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla; a sister, Carolyn Sue (Bill) Moore, Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandchildren, Amanda McLain and Daniel Rhodes and numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. on March 30, 2015.¹
