He was an employee with Entergy Gas Services in Baton Rouge for 28 years. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, where he served as a deacon. Edward grew up in Ruston and was a member of Barnett Springs Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lamar Willis Sr. and Edith Yocum Willis Cash; and brother, Donald Eugene Willis. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jeanette Leigh Woods Willis; daughter, Bridget Charline Willis, 17, of Baton Rouge; sister, Lillian Marie Willis Williamson; two brothers, David Lee and Steven Dale Willis, of Ruston; and nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Woodlawn Baptist Church. on February 3, 2010.1

Dixie was born on July 23, 1921 to Gladys Bessie Robinson and Walter Luis Doty, in Cardin, Oklahoma. Dixie met and married her husband, Neal Wilson, in Missouri in 1939. They had twin boys, Cary and Larry, in 1941 and later moved to Kelso, Washington where they had many friends and raised their boys. Dixie and Neal moved to Bellaire, Texas in 1956 where they settled and lived out the rest of their lives together. Dixie will be remembered by her friends and family for her friendly and fun-loving personality and loving nature. Dixie had a special love for children. Over the years, she enriched the lives of the countless children who all called her "Nana", from her grandchildren to children she cared for in her home day care. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Dixie was preceded in death by her brothers Luis and Bob Doty, sisters Eileen Asher and Wanda Dick, husband of 67 years, Neal E. Wilson, sons Larry Neal Wilson and Cary Dale Wilson and grandsons Brian Neal Wilson and Timothy Neal Wilson. She is survived by her brother Russell Doty and sister in law Bobbie Doty; daughter Carie Crabb and son-in-law Keith Crabb; daughter-in-law Kay Wilson; grand children Katherine and Alan Crabb; Robin Bachus and Jennifer Green; and 11 great-grand children. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 9th, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris Street, Bellaire, TX 77401. on December 7, 2012.3
