He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane Trout Hale of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Gravely and Becky Hale; his mother, Ora Guilliams Hale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence Eugene and Clara Hale, Roy Ernest, Jr. and Hazel Hale, Sandra Puckett and Sue Willis; stepgrandchildren, Christopher Clark, David Clark, and Sabrina Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews; devoted pets, Cricket and Brandy; and special friends, Wayne and Brenda Peters and Nelson and Jean Rakes. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Furnace Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment to follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on May 3, 2002.4
