She was born April 4, 1902 in Franklin County and was preceded in death by her husband, Felmon A. Sigmon, a son Wayne Sigmon, and a daughter, Elsie Furrow. Surviving are two daughters, Maxine Sink and Deltha Jefferson, both of Wirtz, Va; five sons and six daughters-in-law, Hampton and Geraldine Sigmon, Eugene and Joyce Ann Sigmon, Ruth Sigmon, all of Rocky Mount; Bobby and Loretta Sigmon of Boones Mill; Carl and Tressie Sigmon of Salem; Harold and Sue Sigmon of Callaway. Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a special friend, Lena Morris and special neighbors, Dessie Guilliams and Eva Agee. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 1992 from Lynch Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Richard Slider and Earl Harrelson with interment to follow in the Franklin Memorial Park. on July 21, 1992.4

Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hamp and Geraldine Sigmon of Rocky Mount, Bill and Tressie Sigmon of Catawba, Eugene and Joyce Sigmon, Ruth Sigmon, Bobby and Loretta Sigmon, and Nickey and Sue Sigmon, all of Callaway; and her very special sister and best friend, Maxine Sink of Wirtz. Deltha is also survived by a host of caring and supportive nieces and nephews, especially Johnny and Priscilla Via. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Burnt Chimney United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating. Interment to follow in the Jefferson Family Cemetery. on November 2, 2001.5

Other survivors are; a special sister, Maxine S. Sink of Wirtz; special brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Tressie Sigmon of Salem, Eugene and Joyce Sigmon of Callaway, Bobby and Loretta Sigmon of Boones Mill, Nickey and Sue Sigmon of Callaway, and Ruth Sigmon of Rocky Mount. He will also be greatly missed by: sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Clora and David Bates of Glade Hill, Lena Fralin of Rocky Mount, Shirley and Roy Hale of Texas, "Kenna" and Linzie Landrum of Roanoke, Willie and Gracie Dillon of Hardy, Russell Dillon of Roanoke, Fulton and Betty Dillon of Henry, Roosevelt Dillon of Rocky Mount, and Mac and Helen Dillon of Glade Hill; a number of special nieces and nephews; and an aunt and uncle, Eldridge and Wilma Sigmon of Callaway. The family would like to thank Dr. Jack R. Hutcheson and Carilion Hospice of Franklin County for their loving care and support during Hamp's illness. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday May 23 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Flora Funeral Service with the Rev. Hyo Lee and the Rev. Dr. Bonny Dillon officiating.
