Randy was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Roberts, Sr. and Bernice Saujon Roberts; wife Deborah Roberts, brothers, Melvin Roberts, Jr., Anthony Roberts, Raymond Roberts, Daniel Roberts and one sister, Veronica Fountain.¹ He married Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Pittman, daughter of Alfred Earl Pittman and Alice Thompson.¹ Randy Roberts was born on November 19, 1957 at Biloxi, Harrison Co., Mississippi.¹ He died on November 26, 2016 at Abbeville, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, at age 59.¹

He had been a lifelong resident of Raleigh County and was employed by the McAlpin Coal Company. He had been a member of the Glen View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clarice Vipperman Pittman, Glen View; one daughter, Betty, at home; four brothers, Dempsey and Alvin, both of Glen White, Paul, Helen, and Thelme, Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Canaday, Fort Knox Ky., and Mrs. Harvey Combs, Detroit. The body was to remain at the Calfee Funeral Home until 5 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Glen View Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Munroe officiating. Burial will be made in the Canady Cemetery, Glen White. on October 3, 1954.³
