She moved to Springfield, Mo., in 1958, from the state of New Mexico, and moved to Shell Knob in 1983. She was a past member of Seminole Baptist Temple and Park Crest Baptist Church, both of Springfield, and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Shell Knob. She was a homemaker. She married Ray E. Barbee on Dec. 5. 1946, in Portales, N.M. He preceded her in death Sept, 27, 1992. Survivors include two sons, John Edward Barbee and his wife, Pat, Willard, and Daniel Barbee, Springfield; four daughters, Alice Foster and her husband, Dale, Jerri Hawkins and her husband, Guy, and Paula Manweiler and her husband, Ron, all of Springfield, and Donna Jankowski and her husband, Ken, Republic; 17 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ira Boyer, Ridgefield, Wash; and five sisters, Thelma Wormington, Willits, Calif., Amy Vance, Portales, N.M., Mary Lou Mahan, Hobbs, N.M., Emma Lee Goins, Tulsa, Okla., and Joyce Thomas, Van Buren, Ark. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Boyer and Paul Boyer; and two sisters, Lydia Heard and Polly Yates. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church, Shell Knob, with the Rev. Ken Jankowski and the Rev. Nick Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Painter Cemetery, Shell Knob, with the Rev. Date Foster officiating. on September 7, 1994.3

Paula was employed by Bass Pro Shops and a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. She accepted Jesus as her Savior as a young girl and worshipped her Lord in song and service faithfully. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Loreta Barbee; and brother John Barbee. Paula leaves behind her loving husband, Ron Manweiler; three children, Niki and Greg Smith, Rick and wife, Michelle, and Danny Manweiler, all of Springfield; three grandchildren; three sisters, Alice and Dale Foster, Jerri and Guy Hawkins of Springfield, and Donna and Ken Jankowski of Horseheads, N.Y; and one brother, Dan Barbee of Springfield, Mo. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Paula was a joy to all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but reunited in heaven with brothers and sisters in Christ. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2009, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Doug Shivers officiating, in Boulevard Baptist Church, 1030 S. Eastgate, Springfield, Mo., with interment to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. on July 9, 2009.1

Juanita Ginnings Juanita Barbee was born on April 14, 1924 in Durant, Oklahoma to Joe C. and Emma Ginnings. She was the youngest of 12 children. At the age of 3 her family moved to Friona, Texas. When she was 5 they moved to the Oklahoma Lane Community where she started to school. Then in 1933, they moved to Roosevelt County, New Mexico where she was a resident until 2012, when she moved to Austin, Texas with her daughter and son-in-law. She graduated from Portales High School in 1942 then attended college at New Mexico A&M and later Eastern New Mexico University. During WWII, she worked at Clovis Air Base for three years in the Payroll Department. In 1946, she went to work for Thomas E. Boyd in Portales, New Mexico as a CPA. After 23 years, she purchased the business and operated it until her retirement on April 15, 1990. Math and working with numbers was what she enjoyed most. On July 16, 1948, she married Roy W. Barbee. They had two children, Emma Jo Barbee-Webber and Jerry Barbee. She also enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, reading, knitting, crocheting and traveling. She had traveled to all 50 states and 2 other countries. She also enjoyed visiting at the nursing homes in Portales and Clovis, delivering Meals on Wheels and working with World Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barbee; parents, Joe C. and Emma Ginnings; six brothers; and 5 sisters. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Emma Barbee-Webber and her spouse Mark of Austin; her son, Jerry Barbee and his spouse Carol of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Dripping Springs Church of Christ. When in Roosevelt County she was a member of Third and Kilgore Church of Christ. Barbee of Portales; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Fred Nations of Portales; a brother, Frank Betts of Roswell; and two grandchildren, Ace and Jake Nations of Portales. In April of 1964, he met and married his special love, Susan Loop of Ojai. He continued with Broadway for 32 years with a short break to serve his country in the United States Army. After retiring from The Broadway he went to work for Sears and then went on to work at enjoying life. Troy was a great jokester and had many loves in life including the Lakers, Dodgers, bowling, card playing, watching westerns, traveling in their RV to enjoy and marvel at our beautiful country, and weekend camping with the Ramblin' Elks. He was Past Governor of the Ventura Moose Lodge, a member of the Oxnard American Legion, and a member of the Ventura Elks Lodge. Most of all, Troy loved being "Papa" to his very special granddaughter. Troy is survived by wife, Susan; daughter, Deana Zvara (Brandon), granddaughter, Alizabeth Zvara; brother, Lester Barbee (Linda); sisters Trelma Elliot, Orene Onstott, and Mary Sandefur; his "man's best friend" Zuma; and dear friends, Joe & Joanne Annuzzio; along with a host of cousins; nieces; and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, A.P., Ray, Roy, Glen, Chester; and sister, Evelyn Johnson. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road ,Ventura, CA; with the reception immediately following at the Ventura Elks Lodge #1430, 2126 Knoll Drive, Ventura, CA 93003. Donations can be made in Troy's honor to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Service arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home. on April 7, 2017.4
