Montague Chrisman "Jim" Sutphin and Edna Irene Aliff, on April 4, 1987 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2 William Scott Bonham died on February 5, 2012 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 65.3,4 He W. Scott Bonham, 65, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012. He was an Industrial Engineer for Gardner-Denver and later worked as a Courier. Scott was preceded in death by three children, Wendy Denise Bonham, Joseph Stephen Bonham, and Jeffrey Scott Bonham; his parents, Robert and Margaret Bonham; and a sister, Louise Sparks. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, J. Lynn Bonham; step son, Brian Trump; and brother, Stephen Bonham. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Earl Clemons officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. on February 10, 2012.4

     Elston M. Rickard Elston M. Rickard, 80, of Charles Town, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his residence. Born in Jefferson County on July 13, 1935 and was the son of the late Oliver and Izola Muriel (Mauck) Rickard. He is survived by his loving daughter and caregiver, Beverly Kay Boyer and husband Donald of Charles Town and one son, Jeffrey Merle Rickard of Martinsburg. He is survived by four grandchildren, Jeremiah Merle Rickard of Charles Town, Erica Quinn Whetzel-Gray and husband Jason of Charles Town , Amber Brooke Nesselrodt and husband Josh of Franklin, WV and Jeffrey Brandon Rickard of Winchester, VA . He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Andrew Tre’ Whetzel of Charles Town, Leah and Emma Nesselrodt of Franklin and Delaney and Lila Rickard of Winchester, VA. He is survived by one brother, Jimmy Rickard and wife Jean of Ranson,WV. He was preceded in death by his parents and six sisters, Thelma Rickard, Willow Dean Wood, Geraldine Robinson, Dorothy Mercer, Kathleen Briggs, and Gladys Dunn. Three brothers, Kenneth Rickard, Forrest Rickard and James Rickard also preceded him in death. Elston was a go getter and had a very strong work ethic. He started working at Victor Products in 1961, it later became Dixie Narco. He worked there until it’s closing in 1990, having retired as a supervisor. He prided himself on having maintained “perfect attendance” throughout the almost forty years of his employment there. Elston loved to be outside. He spent most of his days, after retirement, tending to his plentiful garden or maintaining his immaculate yard. He was known for his perfectly trimmed boxwoods that surrounded his house and took great pride in maintaining it. He was the epitome of “Old School” and lived his life accordingly. He was known for his sparkling clean vehicles and an immaculate home. To say, you could eat off his floors, would be an understatement. He took great pride in every task he executed. Elston was a family man and expressed often how much he adored his family. He often spoke of growing up in Millville (Keystone) and all the wonderful memories he had of that era. Those were some of the best times of his life. His big smile and loving ways will be missed by all. Services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar, WV with the Reverend Bucky Chapman officiating. There will no visitation. Hospice of the Panhandle has been a blessing to Elston and his family in his final days. The family wishes to express gratitude and appreciation for the loving care they provided. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.2 He was buried at Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Bolivar, Jefferson Co., West Virginia.2 He and Eva Karen Aliff were divorced.2 Elston M. Rickard was born on July 13, 1935 at Jefferson Co., West Virginia.1,2 He married Eva Karen Aliff, daughter of Wilsie Ellis Aliff and Nannie Belle Shrader, on October 8, 1971 at Winchester, Virginia.1 Elston M. Rickard died on June 21, 2016 at Charles Town, Jefferson Co., West Virginia, at age 80.2

     Viola Lester was buried at Brunswick Memorial Park, 4407 Highway 17 N, Brunswick, Glynn Co., Georgia.1,2 She was born on February 14, 1919 at Hurley, Buchanan Co., Virginia.1,2 As of September 8, 1944,her married name was Alley.1 She married Harold Hillrith Alley, son of Franklin Homer "Frank" Alley and Thelma J. Kincaid, on September 8, 1944 at Gulfport, Harrison Co., Mississippi.1,2 Viola Lester died on August 28, 2003 at Brunswick, Glynn Co., Georgia, at age 84.1,2 She Viola Lester Alley, 84, of Brunswick died Thursday at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Mrs. Alley, a native of Hurley, Va., had been a resident of Brunswick for 41 years. She was in the first class of licensed practical nurses at Brunswick Vocational Technical School. Mrs. Alley was a member of the Marshes of Glynn Order of Eastern Star, Fleet Reserve Association and Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association. She was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Garis officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. C. Thomas Tucker, Dr. William DaVanzo, Beth Respess and their staff, the Revs. Wright Culpepper, and Danny Stillwell, Dr. Michael Dunn and the staff of Fairhaven Assisted Living. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick or the Hospice of the Golden Isles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Eastern Star Services at 7 :30 p.m. Survivors include a daughter, Patti Shannon and her husband, Conrad Shannon Jr., of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Jennifer Shannon, and future grandson-in-law, Michael Mayfield, both of Brunswick; and a grandson, Patrick Casey Shannon of Brunswick. on August 29, 2003.2
