Wills was the boiler fireman on duty at the Raleigh-Wyoming Coal Co. tipple when the boiler exploded Sunday night. He was thrown across the room, through the wall, and into Hazy creek. A nearby resident, Clyde Murdock, rescued the man from the creek. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Minnie Wills; four sons, Edward, Richard and Paul, of Naoma, and Clyde, Kansas City, Mo; five sisters, Mrs. Charles Sawyer ot Glen Daniels, Mrs. Golden Pettry and Mrs. Jessie Snodgrass of Arnett, Mrs. Garrett Tabor and Edna Wills of Glen Daniels; one brother, Joe of Glen Daniels and five grandchildren. The body is at Valley mortuary at Whitesville. on November 29, 1950.3

Richard Nolan Wills Richard N. Wills, 82, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Burma on Saturday November 9, 2013 in Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness. Born November 13, 1930 in Naoma he was the son of the late Ernest and Minnie McGinnis Wills. Richard was a retired equipment operator, last working for Colony Bay Coal Company, in Wharton. He loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He dearly loved being with his family. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Burma Wills, whom he missed dearly since her passing. His son, Barry Wills, step son Marty Stover, and a granddaughter Jackie Wills. Three Brothers: James Wills, Clyde Wills, and Paul Wills. Those left to cherish his memory include 2 sons Andy Wills of Beckley, Bruce Wills of Beckley, and a step son Shawn West of Ohio, and his daughter Brenda Gibson of Grandview. His granddaughter Kyra Wills and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. In keeping with Richard's wishes he will be cremated, and there will be no services.3 He was born on November 13, 1930 at Naoma, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3 He married Irene Marie Tackett on May 28, 1947 at Naoma, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.4 Richard Nolan Wills married Burma Unknown circa 1969.3 Richard Nolan Wills died on November 9, 2013 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 82.3

Pettry, Naoma; one brother, Woodrow Brown, Dry Creek; four half-sisters, Mrs. J.E. Clay, Naoma; Mrs. J.J. Wills, Dry Creek; Mrs. L.W. Worley, Bolt; and Mrs. O.B. Johnson, Harper Road; five half-brothers, Charley Brown, Sundial; Clinton Brown, Edwight; William Totten, Dry Creek; Leon Totten, Dry Creek; and Amos H. Totten, Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Naoma Methodist Church, with Rev. Ernest Bias and Rev. Johnson Meador officiating. Burial will follow in the Dilly Pettry Cemetery at Noama. The body will be removed from the Armstrong Funeral Home at Whitesville to the residence Wednesday morning. on April 16, 1947.3
