He was a lifelong member of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. He was an honor graduate of William Byrd High School Class of '93, where he was nominated as the Most Popular, and selected as the Wittiest in his senior class. He was also co-captain of the tennis team and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a sophomore at Radford University, where he was an honor student, studying science, with plans for a teaching career. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and lover of the out of doors. Surviving are his parents, Neil and Julie Roberson; a sister, Amy Roberson, all of the home; grandmothers, Agnes Roberson, Roanoke, Marie Cox, Vinton; aunts and uncles, Linda and Mark Flippo, Roanoke, John and Kathy Cox, Vinton, Wayne and Sarah Roberson, Manor, Texas; a number of cousins and numerous friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 1995, with the Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman and the Rev. Dr. George Wesley Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after 9 a.m. Tuesday, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on January 9, 1995.2
