In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Bill Lynch and wife, Nancy; five stepchildren, Billie, Janice, Gloria, A.G., and Jeff; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Swiger; and a sister, Mary Garland Shelton. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Danville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 174 Virginia Key Trail, Union Hall, VA 24176. on November 29, 2016.³

He had lived his entire life in the Danville area and had retired from Marshall Construction Company where he had worked as an estimator. He was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Joseph William "Bill" Lynch, III, and his wife Nancy, of Gretna, VA; a daughter, Betty Jo Jensen, and her husband Jim, of Union Hall, VA; a sister, Corrine L. Moore, and her husband David, of Ringgold, VA; a friend, Vickie Frost, of Ringgold, VA; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Jeffrey Wright officiating. The family will receive fiends Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Wrenn-Yeatts, North Main Chapel from 7:00 8:30 P.M. and at other times at the residence of his son, 537 East Gretna Road, Gretna, VA.
