     Gwyndolen Ann Via Ann Via Sigmon, age 82 of Ferrum passed away at her residence on Friday, March 8, 2019. She was born June 2, 1936 a daughter of the late Fred and Lessie Carter Via. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Via Hale, Nellie Prillaman Rush; brother-in-law, Bobby Beeghly. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Laymon Cleo Sigmon; children, Sandra Sigmon Lawson (Eddie), Brenda Sigmon, Cleo Sigmon (Becky); grandchildren, Angie Williams (David), Dakota Sigmon, Mitchell Sigmon and Blaine Sigmon; great-grandchild, Morgan Robertson; and sister, Ada Via Beeghly; brothers-in-law, Roy “Jr.” Hale, Frank Rush. Ann attended Henry Elementary School and Rocky Mount High School. She enjoyed her career as a van driver with the Franklin County Department of Aging. She was a member of the Patrick Henry Saddle Club; and enjoyed quilting, scrap-booking and spending time with her grandchildren.      Brenda Kay Sigmon Brenda Kay Sigmon, age 64 of Henry died Monday, June 9, 2025. She was born June 17, 1960 and was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Via Sigmon; sister, Sandra Sigmon Lawson; former spouse, Jimmy Sigmon; and grandparents, Posey and Leo Sigmon, Fred Via and Lessie Via Guilliams. Surviving are her son, Dakota Sigmon, father, Laymon Sigmon; brother, Cleo Sigmon (Becky); niece, Angie Williams (David); nephews, Mitchell Sigmon (Taylor) and Blaine Sigmon (Leanne); great-niece, Morgan Robertson; aunts, Juanita Ferguson (Jackie) and Ada Beeghly; uncle, Roy Hale; and numerous cousins.      Jimmy Dean Sigmon Jimmy Dean Sigmon, 57, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Martinsville on August 27, 1959 to the late Euel Sigmon and the late Frances Atkins Sigmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ashworth. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Brenda Sigmon; son, Jimmy Dakota Sigmon; sisters, Mary Sigmon, Janie Daniel and Peggy Adkins; and brother, Reeves Sigmon. A graveside service will be at Henry Memorial Park.      Sandra Lucille Sigmon In the early hours of August 26th, 2019 Sandra Sigmon Lawson unexpectedly passed away. She was born April 10, 1956 to Ann and Laymon Sigmon of Ferrum, Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Eddie Lawson; her daughter, Angie Williams (David); one grandchild, Morgan Robertson; her sister, Brenda Sigmon (Jimmy- deceased); her brother, Cleo Sigmon (Becky); three nephews, Dakota, Mitchell and Blaine; mother-in-law, Opal Turner (Edwin- deceased) and a brother-in-law, Steve Lawson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Sigmon; maternal grandparents, Lessie and Fred Via and fraternal grandparents Posie and Leo Sigmon. She spent many years of her life caring and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She was a caring and devoted friend, mother, and wife. She opened her heart and home to those who needed her. Sandra was a spontaneous adventure seeker, always ready for a road trip. She loved the outdoors and spent much of her life boating and fishing. Her latest hobby was kayaking and she felt most peaceful on the water. Over the years she developed a green thumb, spending hours planting her gnome garden and painting fairy houses to decorate her flowerbeds. She possessed an infectious smile and took joy in spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She lived her life to the fullest with no apologies and passed from this world too soon.⁶ She was born on April 10, 1956 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,6 As of May 19, 1975,her married name was Hodges.³ She married Harvey Clinton Hodges on May 19, 1975 at Darlington, Darlington Co., South Carolina.³ As of December 24, 1985,her married name was Wright.¹ Sandra Lucille Sigmon married Ralph Leon Wright on December 24, 1985 at Henry Co., Virginia.¹ Sandra Lucille Sigmon and Harvey Clinton Hodges were divorced on August 25, 1986 at Franklin Co., Virginia.³ Sandra Lucille Sigmon and Ralph Leon Wright were divorced on February 16, 1993 at Patrick Co., Virginia.³ As of April 26, 1997,her married name was Lawson.¹ Sandra Lucille Sigmon married Dana Edwin Lawson on April 26, 1997 at Henry Co., Virginia.^1,5,6 Sandra Lucille Sigmon died on August 26, 2019 at Virginia at age 63.⁶

Surviving are two sons, Charles Donnie of Thornhill Bassett Wright and Timothy Wayne Wright of Patrick Springs; a brother, Chester Wright of Stanley, N.C; a sister, Carol Sue Wright of Bassett; two step-brothers, Richard Williamson of Fredericksburg and Gary Williamson of West Virginia; a step-sister, Susan Walker of Statesville, N.C., and two grandchildren.
