Jackie was a graduate of Pembroke High School and was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant at Narrows as a millwright. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Bevan and Joyce Elmore. He leaves to cherish his memory his faithful and devoted wife, Winnie Smith Martin; a daughter and son-in-law Beth and Rod Cupp of Narrows; a son David Scott Martin of Narrows; two grandchildren, Megan and Casey Cupp; a brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Cathy Martin of Pearisburg. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. on December 27, 2005.5
